Great shots man. I would touch up the second one in lightroom. To get rid of the little flare on the bottom and middle of the pic.

I agree. Your shots are great!

I have a friend who's trying to get into professional photography and she's not really that good...It's hard for me to not say anything but I try to be nice. Of course, I don't have much room to talk.

I just got my first dslr. I ended up getting the nikon d5100. I love it so far, but it seems as if there is an endless amount of settings and I have no idea what they mean! Anyway, here is one of my favorites so far, and it was like the 5th picture i took with it.

also, im not so sure how to get the pictures sized right to attach them on here. what does everyone do?

Are they both PP?

GF1 is surprisingly more contrasty between those two.

Really wish I had the money to get the 14mm for mine...or even upgrade to the GX1. But the move to the d800 and now fixing to repair the d3 are breaking my bank.

yeah there's similar PP on both - not saying you can arrive at any conclusion from the shots - just wanted to show since I had both. I had a ball carrying around the 5D, 7D, and GF1 at the same time at this party over the weekend - it was so much fun.

Wasn't trying to conclude anything, just surprised the gF1 was as contrasty as it was in comparison to Canon, who I feel is contrasty by default.

Both image are very sharp at their current size and well detailed.

I honestly LOVE my GF1...there are certain things I wouldn't shoot with it (I find car photos don't "feel" as good as they do with my DSLR and even then I do still shoot cars with it) But I wouldn't have any other camera to walk around with to shoot my kids or other little things.
