A decision just needs to be made on a location. Its always like this, where options are given and the variety of locations makes every one indecisive.
This is an All-Cali meet, which doesnt necessarily mean that it needs to be centrally located but rather at a location that can hold all of the members and their guests.
If its an issue about money and travel time, I can definitely understand that. Have we given thought to having a minimum price for each member to attend? This would cover hotel rooms, food, parking, and any other expenses. If every member pitched in 50 for the meet Im sure we could get hotel discounts and what not.
The first all-cali meet we had was at a park and it was fun and all, but this latest one was much better since we had the ability to hang out in a hotel, eat at a buffet, sit at a bar and drink, and (although I didnt stay long) there was a night life that thepictures showed was a great time.
Im tossing ideas around, so if this sounds like a rant Im sorry.

My thing is and is and will always be since the day Bryan started this thread is who is going to do leg work in a different city. In Fresno we have Roger that can do they leg work and the fresno guys. Bryan can do some leg work in the arroyo grande area.
I'm down to drive anywhere as well even if it is in Santa Barbara, but my thing is who is going to do the leg work in SB, if I lived out there I would, if there is anyone in SB or lives near SB, that can lend a hand a scope stuff out that will be great.
thats just my

how about earl warren show grounds in santa barbara? is 0ctober 22 to late? i was looking at their event calendar and that's the earliest weekend i could find that didn't have anything planned.
i can call and get a quote on renting the parking lot if people are interested. we could meet up there and cruise around afterwards?

just received a reply to an email i sent to the chumash last week:
Thank you for your interest in our property for your upcoming car show. We do not really have a space that would be conducive to housing the number of cars listed below on property. However, if you do end up in the area, we would be happy to look into special rates for your group at both of our properties! (Chumash Casino Resort and Hotel Corque)

skofield park:
$165 for the area
$150 security deposit
$54 for electricity for the entire day or $18/hr
$17 monitor fee (someone comes by to make sure we aren't setting the place on fire)
$5 for paperwork
TOTAL:$391
I just need to double check on the number of parking spaces, they will be calling me back shortly

that wouldnt be bad...day time bbq it up, getting to know each other in a laid back atmosphere, then let loose at night at the casino/hotel..and its SB so some can still make a weekend /vacation out of it.
