I love my Acura family,

I've been trying to help plan acurafest in the beginning of this thread, since we arent doing it at the park no more i'm not helping im leaving it up to the guys that planned last year, i'm not trying to run anyone away from this site, the talk that goes on in this thread keeps it up at the top and is just for fun, because I drive a certain car doesn't mean shit, yea alot of us other members drive different cars besides Acura's now but we still contribute on ideas, projects and give others help. I know most of the guys in this thread and they join in on the fun as well. So if you have a problem with it PM me or post in this thread and say something.

In my honest opinion next year Acurafest needs to be held at a park, none of this fancy stuff again because its almost September and still no date or location (kind of). People need to start asking for time off since some people do work on weekends and or need to coordinate with family, people are getting left in the dark not knowing anything, and its making people not even want to go, I've talked to various members on the board and there saying there not going to go anymore because they don't know whats going on. Acurafest needs to go back to the days when it was held in the park, because if it was I know for sure everything would be panned out by now.

^ I agree bro! Or at least have the park as a back up plan if an agreement takes a little longer than expected possibly? I actually won't be making it to this years unless it plans on being at the end-end of the year so I can send a request in. Hopefully I'll be there next year!

Yea, I'm probably not going to be making it anymore. It's cutting it real close and we don't have a date so I don't know when to request time off. Plus my cars out of commission for now and I don't think it'll be up and running by the time this does come around, if that.

I agree. Pismo (or even SLO) would've been so much easier.

We now for next time I really wanted to do Pismo.

On a side note: I'm not knocking Roger in anyway, I appreciate the stuff he is doing for Acurafest but I feel that it could been alot easier on him if we just had it at a park. I don't blame him for the Casino taking forever to get back to him either. I just want to clear that up before anyone goes around saying Kevin is dissing Roger and the work he is doing etc etc.

After talking with Roger I can say that the casino won't be happening this year. Alot of different things in the contract that would put Roger on the spot if things didn't follow through and he would have to front the money himself as well as a couple others. I don't blame him for not signing the deal, and he agrees that a pismo meet later in the year would be better.

its cause i work a weekend job that has me going out of town + over night 80% of the weekends and its a 7am to 7-8pm job its harder to request weekends off when its a business that is based off the weekends [Weekend jobs suck...but are perfect for students -___-]
if this event happens at the far end of the year for everybody's convenience to be able to put in their requests, possibly more people can make it?

Well if that's the case then he should make an announcement here so everybody knows. If the casino is dicking around I wouldn't even bother with them anymore. That leaves us time to plan something else instead.

For those of you whining about Pismo or any other place why don't YOU go and do the planning, research, phone calls, etc that it takes to plan something like this? Lots of people like to chime in and lobby for this place or that but as soon as there's any work that needs to be done everybody shuts up. Nobody would step up and take charge so Roger took it upon himself to do it again because no one else would.

I wouldn't blame Roger if he didn't want to do this anymore due to the ungrateful nature of some responses I've seen.

I dnt think anyone is blaming Roger, thats not even at discussion. Thanks for making it happen before Roger.
The thing is, this does not have to be that complicated. We find a park set a date and make the detailed plans.
What ends up happening is that because there is only a handful of destinations the people closest to the place have to do the leg work.

That's the main issue, everybody's willing to show up but nobody wants to do the work.

Then some have the nerve to complain.

So does this mean that the all Cali is off or that we have to choose a park in the same area?
Another option is north and south Cali just fend for them selves.

Gfaze if ur comment is directed towards me what up? Me and bryan tried to help out I'm all the way in Sac he is in cen cal we were talking to a member in SB 2 see about parks.. Bryan took time out of his schedule to go look @ parks and I even said myself that I would drive down to pismo to see the parks. Yea me coming from sac for a 6 or so hour drive to help my acura people out. Ur comment above sure seemed like it was directed to me because I was the one talkin about having it @ a park.. I did the work, the park in SB wanted 360 IIRC. I even have my accord buddies looking out for parks.. Go back to the first couple of pages did me and Bryan not say let's have it at a park and see what info we could come up with. Acurafest is not the same as it used 2 be that's for sure.

For someone who is 6 hours away, I tried 2 help I even called some parks myself but the lots weren't big enough to fit the cars. Sorry for the run ons guys I'm posting from my BB.

So not to sound completely noobish (I've read a few pages back, but haven't really found an answer)

When is the All-Cali Azine meet going to happen? I missed the '09 in I think Fresno, and '10 at some Casino. I wanted to go to my first All-Cali Azine meet, and well...heres my chance (As soon as I fix my car. Lol) So yeah, just wondering when this is going to happen or when it was suppose to happen.
