OK guys after a some phone tag it seems that Chumash might not be such a great plan. The costs seem way over the top plus, I cant seem to find anyone that will do the leg work & sell the sponsorship to keep the yearly gathering financially feasible. I completely agree with everyone that the meet should not be so over the top that we keep people away due to cost.
Unless someone comes up with a better option, we need to start researching the two other choices. Anybody willing to make some calls to the Oceano Visitors Bureau & figure out if they will let us hold the gathering there..... Bryan?

i say Fresno or AG/oceano would be the best options
but i admit, AG is kind of a historic city. im not too sure if they would allow it, but the spacing/area seems perfect
if not, we go with old faithful

I could go for a change of scenery. Chuckchansi was a great time, but I could go 4 something coastal.

I feel obligated to correct those who are saying "it's in the middle" of northern and southern California ...
Take a location in norcal (let's say Sacramento, CA since that seems to be the farthest location most people may be coming from), distance to Chukchansi is 180 miles according to google maps
Location in socal (farthest location would be San Diego, but that would seem unfair, so I chose Long Beach instead) - distance to same location is 276 miles ... little over 100 miles greater ...
Now can someone please explain how that is in the middle??
Unless the majority of the northern CA people are living closer to Washington, I don't see the logic in that statement at all ...

ahhhh vegas!!! and anyone under 21 shouldnt be going anyways
if people dont like chumash or its too expensive my second choice would be fresno again due to the fact i can make a weekend out of it.... if not then pismo it is!
