although i think im gonna go with the subbie version just cause it comes stock with so much stuff (not sure if the scion will) and HID headlights

is that chopped? The press release shots wheel height has a much bigger gap than that, right??

Also I'm leaning towards the subie version initially. Main reason even though I dont know much about the differences. You can expect more cleanly modded subaru's and probably more riced out scions.

It'll be interesting to see how much more is included in the BRZ vs. the FR-S and at what price those extras will be. I'm sure there'll be alot of crossshopping between the two models.

I really like the 86 badges on the FR-S fenders

Its the Greddy modded version. When the car was unveiled they had a few modded cars there.

Should have left it as a Toyota since Toyota has nothing in its lineup that's sporty. It would have helped attract younger buyers to Toyota.

If I was sarcastic, it would be something like this....

"Man, the Nissan GT-R looks just as good as it performs. Like a giant, veiny whale's cock"

The GT-86 (terrible name, btw) looks great and I've always felt it had the potential to look it. Case in point: the GReddy example.

That greddy version does look

Who else believes they would have sold more units if it had a Toyota badge on it as opposed to it having a Scion badge? I know I do.

+1

Scion badge cheapens the overall image.

I was just expecting something much more deep rumble type of sound just because the Greddy exhaust on other cars sound like that.

No I think it will be a ltl different.

From the first drives I've read, no one really talked about the Scion as much as the Subaru. For the Scion they said its more muted and such.

But for the Subaru I've seen one magazine love it and another not so much. But they said if you are above like 6000 rpm you will definitely need to talk louder to hear your passengers.
I think the scion might be more restrictive?

pretty much any car running +6000rpm is loud inside....

anyway, i don't want to speculate it, there's no point. hopefully the subaru one is a little bit more deeper in terms of exhaust sound.

At least now Ken Gushi will be drifting an actual RWD Scion. Give it some time, and an unequal length header and it'll sound like what you're expecting it to sound like. It's already looking like what I expected.

I don't care for Scions but from the business side it's just what they need. Toyota instantly makes me think Camry and Corolla, not something exciting. Scion is supposed to be the youthful sporty brand (heh), they can build off what the FR-S brings to the brand.

Whoever really wants one will get one whether it's a Toyota or Scion
