Not saying all Lexus owners are open minded, IMO of all luxury vehicle owners, Lexus owners appear to be more open to the notion of Hyundai becoming upscale with the Genesis.
Ya'll should take a look at the Mercedes and BMW forums: many of them think that the Genesis will flop and think that Hyundai will be nothing more than another Acura; a subpar luxury automaker.
I still have a hard time believing that so many Acura owners on this forum are thinking that the Genesis is :shit:. For my next purchase, if I was in the market for an Acura TL-S, and I saw a Genesis V8 being offered for nearly the same price, I'd personally buy a Genesis.
Like someone previously said, many Acura driver's simply don't think that Acura's :shit: doesn't smell like :shit:.

I'm surprised that the Korean car reviewer gave it such a bad review (re: link on lexus forum)
Especially when he said it felt like an FF car yet the rear kicks out wtf?

And about half of the review he bitched about the pricing...... he kept complaining about the pricing... as if he is in some kind of bitching contest or something. Well, doh, the pricing doesn't apply in the U.S. He wasn't even sure if it'll be sold cheaper in there U.S. Later in the review he then mentioned saying something like "Oh, I think I heard that the Genesis maybe sold cheaper in the U.S." This guy is not professional and doesn't know much. Plus he was testing the BH330, the low end version in this review. It didn't even have NAVI. They should be taking the V8 version, or at least the fully loaded BH380 3.8 liter version along with 18" wheel package and NAVI and DIS.. then maybe... The car doesn't even handle the same as the V8 version. The V8 version not only is faster but it uses the larger set of wheels and lower profile tires which will result in firmer ride. The V8 is geared up for performance and that is what they should've tested in the review... Well let's leave it up to the Americans and Germans and have them review the V8 version when they get here in a few months or so. I can't wait to have Car & Driver review this. Let's not rely on just one review from Korea when there will be plenty more reviews to come.

as is the case with the M, GS, 5 series, A6, etc.

yea i thought they were going to be separate cars too.
but wow...
the front looks like a blend of the IS and G fronts.
the wheels are nice.
i like its simple yet aggressive look.

Looks good. Like some said, front a little plain but I like the tailights+ exhaust design. Hoping that Pure Adrenaline comes and tells us if this is the RWD 300hp+ coupe we've been talking about.

I think, after looking at this car more, toyota's solara should have been similar to this. The front end looks like one, but the rear is far more aggressive as a coupe (in my opinion) should be.

Looks like a little tinie winnie econo coupe car... I get the impression this car being the coupe version of Elantra..... nothing like a breakthrough Genesis Coupe.... If this car is going for $16k then I would hit it, not... $25k not $35k regardless of horsepower and torque. The styling is most completely disappointing.... Even if it has 500 HP and 550 lb/torque I still wouldn't buy this car. The exterior is incredibly ugly.....
On the other hand, the Genesis sedan is pretty darn impressive. It seems like the Genesis sedan is the only car that could run some show.....
Genesis Coupe... Euckkkkkk......

Marketing will tell if it:

Oh, and don't worry about the Hyundai "2009 Tiburon" tag... that was before Hyundai announced that both the rwd genesis coupe and fwd tibby would both be in the hyundia lineup...
