While I don't think the new G coupe as hot as the previous one it's ''alright''and the ext looks wouldn't stop me from getting one. I was surprised because he bought his G only a couple of months ago!

Don't get me wrong, I love the way the G looks but I can admit that I prefer the lines of this Genesis coupe a bit more. Both look awesome to me....

Looks, Price and Weight (3668lbs for the sport 6mt) eliminated the G37 from my wishlist...

There aren't many under 30K 2+2 RWD coupes out there now... Back in the "old days" there were a lot or cheap rwd cars... Heck, even toyota and datsun/nissan had rwd vehicles at one time...

Now, we've got the Mustang, RX-8, and 128 in the under $30K RWD 2+2 coupe market... You can't count the S2k,Miata,Sky since those are 2 seater roadsters...

I think the introduction of the Genesis coupe will shake up the market... more competition in that category will bring better vehicles into the segment which ultimately is great for us, the consumer...

That's very clever Unfortunately you're wrong. Hyundai Group which is a conglomerate was founded in 1947 and Honda Motor Co was founded in 1948.

and neither copied the name off each other..

no kidding.

get your facts straight, unlemming.

the word hyundai also means something in korean. it's not just a "play on word."

That must've been the design cue they stole from Acura.

Thanks for the chops.

Look at the third picture, the last one. This is the best looking Coupe so far. I told ya those large air scoops on the front bumper makes this car so appealing.

I noticed the front center grill has increased in size too. Not bad.

Considering the driving/traffic conditions in Seoul, this doesn't surprise me too much.

That's what they say... Sedan is coming out this year, with the coupe to follow in CY 2009 as a 2010 model.

As much as I'm interested in Genesis Coupe I'm afraid it will not get my money since my Acura lease will expire on Oct this year. I have to get me a new car at that time. Too bad the Coupe won't be out this year.

This only gives me the following options. Go get:

- Hyundai Genesis Sedan V8
- '08 Acura TL Type-S 6MT
- '08 Acura TSX 6MT

I donno man.... i'm sure the Genesis sedan will be very nice in quality and luxury but it might be too luxury for me.

You could buy something cheap and used that might not decrease in value significantly and just bridge it til the Genesis coupe hits.

By Oct, 08 TSX's won't be available since the 09 comes out in a few weeks. The 09 TL will likely be available by then and I'm sure 08's will still be available as well.
