ohh and BMWs dont come with intelligent key standard. you have to pay for it as an option. and it works the same as the RL, mercedes etc..

But really, what are the odds someone is going to run up and jump in your keyless start car and drive off with it while you're standing next to it? Well, I actually think they are about the same odds as if you DON"T have keyless start. But in that case, the guy just sticks a knife in your face and tells you to give him your keys. Same difference, right

it's because in CA everyone drives cars there, some have multiple cars because their public transportation system there in any part of CA isn't that good. are there subways in LA, SF, and SD? i did see a metro train when i went to SF back in 2004.
i don't know if i could handle driving in CA traffic, i already complain how bad the traffic is in Chicagoland expressways, what more in CA?

Talking about a feature that Honda did not include in it's new Accord, that is already a part of the competition's cars is an important topic.

2) The proximity to open the doors is VERY small...I have an infiniti, but I am sure the Rl's system is similar...the key needs to be within 2 feet of the door to open it with the door button/dimple. The proximity to start the car is even smaller...i think I had the key 2" outside the edge of the door and the car would not start.
3) If I was standing that close to my car and a doucebag was running towards me, then i have other problems besides worrying about him getting into my car and driving off.
4) Intelli-key is probably safer than dumb-key with keyless entry...When I had my CL-S with dumb-key and keyless entry, while approaching the car, I would unlock it when I was 5-10ft from it. With my Infiniti and intelli-key, I don't unlock it until I am up close and pushing the button on the door handle. It may not be probable when it comes to safety (since we're talking about improbable scenarios anyway), but opening a car from 10ft away is more room/time/opportunity for a theif to get in than opening the car from 1ft away.

But, they can tell you if it has Keyless Entry or a Nav system, etc. Features are what sell cars to most people. Honda blew it by leaving out Keyless entry because their main competition has it, and advertises it with that stupid "Driving Lesson" commercial three times a day.
..but no need to worry, Honda will add it along with LED taillights at the 3 year model refresh

i test drove the LX, and it was basically a civic's big brother. i didn't really notice any improvements over the previous gen except the better looking interior. the interior looked too busy in pics, but looks better in person. but i would rather have a camry if i was shopping for a 4 banger because it's quieter and feels more mature.

Apparently I stand corrected...underneath this pick on the Honda site it states the following:
Every detail, including the LED taillights, has been designed for a sporty attitude.

For a midsize car consumer, that really has some meaning because the majority of midsize consumers are 4bangers and most commuter people want a nice quiet and soft ride going to and from work.
#2150
Of course you don't want a harsh ride in a commuter car, but one thing I have to complain about is the prevalent feature of Toyota steering racks... they're too floaty feeling. It makes you feel disconnected to the car, and it makes me uncomfortable when driving on twisty roads.
My friend disabled the electric power steering on his 92 MR2 and it felt WORLDS better. My dad's 04 Camry and sister's 07 ES350 still have that annoying (lack of) steering feel though.

Saw an Accord coupe in person today...all be it from a distance (driving by a Honda dealer).
My thoughts (from a distance) reminded me of a cross between a Saturn Ion and Toyota Camry Solara. BTW it was blue.

Two things stand out to me....the qtr mile is quick but most people will not be able to turn it due to driving skills they used and the 70 mph noise level is high...
.but for the qtr mile, keep in mind I had a new 67 GTO, 400 CI, 4 sp....325 HP(old rating system) but a ton of torque and it only did mid-14s at about 96-100 mph...so the coupe is quick...my 69 GTO ram air III was in the high 13s and if not minding your business it would go sideways hitting 3rd....
Oh, gas was cheap then and those things made a hell of a lot of noise...IE fun... and you could mod them a litte to go around corners but not as well as they will today...
The coupe is good and the 09 TSX maybe (?) better...

Looks like the first mod might need to be a tire upgrade.

In all seriousness, the coupe's 18s aren't that bad but a sedan definitely needs it.
