STFU!
How many BMW 535 series with M sport package, Cold weather, Tech, Premium packages are on dealer lots. It was special car and it losing so much value. so it is highly likely transactions prices are low than MRSP.

come to So Cal. There are just as many Msport 5 series as None M sport 535 and they are all fully loaded. and somehow they are all white.

535 with the package you listed is VERY VERY common.

Now 528 M sport is more rare.

Acura RLX VIP Sedan The VIP-style Acura RLX gives the luxury sedan a different appeal, with carbon fiber exterior accents and 21-inch wheels from AVS. Prototype Tein Street Flex coil overs make possible the lowered RLX, which has a big brake kit and an Evasive Motorsports exhaust system with four titanium exhaust tips. Inside, you'll find custom neck pillows with a Jordan Brand-inspired elephant print.

Well most people who drive these probably lease them.

528i with premium pkg, navi, xenon, etc only costs $489/month for 36 months with $3k down payment.

On the other hand a base RLX (no navi) is at $439/month for 36 months with $2.7k down payment. I believe the navi trim is $449/month with $3k down payment.

Just for the brand name alone, people wouldn't mind paying the extra $40/month and $300 extra down payment. It doesn't matter if the RLX has more power or features. Brand name rules. Even with the 535i with premium package and navi, it's only $589/month. With the other packages you mentioned? Probably $650. People are willing to pay that much just for the brand name. The price tag is irrelevant.

Aside from all the stickers, the blue... I mean burnt exhaust tips, and the front bumper vents (?)..... it's alright.

No interior pics, so we don't know how good or bad it is.

You obviously have no clue what mediocre is then, you can argue it's overpriced but doing so strictly because of brand makes you quite vain.

Vain, or understands the market for luxury performance sedans? It seems the anonymous Internet poster might have a better feel for the market than the powers that be at Acura.

I don't recall anyone ever saying it's overpriced because it's an Acura. Seems like you just have an axe to grind with this whole forum because you're one of those who sit back and say shit like "these guys just dump on Acura, let me self righteously set them straight" - am I close?

It looks more like a Honda pace car (with heavy cladding) for the Indycar race series rather than a handsome premium executive sedan for the civilized world.

Come on, If you are going to do something do it right. Dont send one of your employees down to autozone to get some stick on vents. Mold the bumper with them in it. Its also missing the DUB logo on the front fenders, and the Buick vents on the fender

Give it a couple of weeks, he'll be back to the forum-specific circlejerk, just like every other homer who tries to be all high and mighty and acts like we're the biased ones

He'll mention how all the guys in car talk/auto news are single-minded jagoffs, and then the other Acura owners will agree.

if Germans are selling their 5 series, Eclass or A6 at 5x, 6x and 7x the # of RLX for more $, then welcome to the world of "Vain"

I don't have to argue it is overpriced, because the market and car buyers already proved me correct.

Acura RLX VIP Sedan = Hot Mess!

Yea, that SEMA car didn't help the already bad image of the RLX.

Whoever designed the 3rd gen TL should have been put in charge of the RLX.

P.S. I hope that woman who designed the ZDX got kicked out along with a bunch of the 4th gen TL designers.

If the current top of the line RLX is $61.4K, I'm thinking this will be around $68K.

I don't remember this has ever been discussed before. Which one is the bigger failure? RL or RLX?

I personally think RLX because RL was at least semi competitive when it first came out. RLX was dead from the start.

Wasn't RL pretty relevant in its category when 3G TL was introduced?

I remember when I bought my 3G TL brand new in 2005, RL was moving pretty well. Not sure at all though.

It just feels like literally nobody that I know cares about RLX.

RL was winning awards and comparison tests when it first came out. I think Acura sold over 10k a year for 2005 and 2006 too. Based on that, the RL was more successful I'd say.

Hopefully $68k is the fully loaded price..not the starting price...I don't see Acura moving many of these if the starting price is $68k...lol

RL was more of a success than the RLX (at least to date)

However, they both pale in comparison to the Legend.

Since this will be a hybrid, won't it be eligible for the federal tax credit(s)? Are they even still offering credits? Maybe Acura plans to lower the price that way.

EDIT....

Nevermind. Only credits available are for plug-in and all electrics.
