alright, i got a wire harness and everything. i have my avic-d3 installed but it doesn't auto-dim when i turn on my headlights. does our cars have autodim? i googled and it says no.

 

anyways, the kit has a dimmer wire, so does my head unit thus i connected those already... the metra kit also has a solid orange which is illumination and it's not connected to anything since the headunit doesn't have one. do i ground this?

 

The AVIC-D3 has an illumination wire in it's harness. Connect the two together.

It's between the RED and PINK wires in the Pioneer harness.
