i would also like to NOT get pulled over.
YES IM COLORED, NO I DID NOT STEAL THE CAR OFFICER. haha jk
but seriously, when it was still registered under my dads name the officer would always say "does your dad know you have his car?"

thanks Lito! but why would you want to go a day early?? the whole fun is rolling down with everyone!! i mean i had to play catch up most of the time since i was one of the few 4-cyl i was gonna try and take the day off before so i can prep my car and get some rest since i know its a long drive!
might do the same if i get lazy or get too drunk & not wanna be driving back until next day...not sure yet tho...

Nipomo:
Total Estimated Time: 3 hours 52 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 239.08 miles
Fresno:
Total Estimated Time: 2 hours 45 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 168.63 miles
i think i'll pick Fresno, if you guys say you're gonna have all that you claim (live dj, cooling fans/misters, etc.) then i'm down for Fresno. the spot looks like it can hold whoever ends up going as well as all the cars that will be going! last year we had about 60 cars and maybe close to 100 people.

Its only 25mins longer than NIPOMO
http://maps.google.com/maps?client=f...e=UTF8&t=h&z=8
SD to Nipomo = 4 hours and 49 minutes
I know you prefer Nipomo & I agree it really isn't that bad.
But to get the best MEET we can out of it it would be better if we had LOCAL AZINERS there to prep the stuff in the weeks before.
Like music/entertainment. (ie. bounce house boxing rings, sports equipment, tables if necessary, speakers,)
Even getting local sponsors.
I hope you will reconsider going, wherever it ends up.

NICE..."trader rating" under the AVATAR
Guess this is to score us on how good we buy or trade in the BM.
Hopefully will prevent bad deals & people not gettin their stuff/money.

for those that went to the 1st All-Cali Meet, that was held in Pismo and looked like it had good parking and shade. i understand that it cost $5 to get in, but i don't see that as a problem. I think Pismo would be in the middle for everyone, that way its not just in the "backyard" for the people in Fresno and it would be somewhat of a better drive for those coming from SD? just to throw that out there. i don't mind either Fresno or Nipomo, either way we're gonna drive but Fresno is closer to us here in the Bay Area.

Guys the point of FRESNO is NOT to have it in our backyard or to not have to travel far. The point is to get the best MEET we can out of it. Its always better if we had LOCAL AZINERS there to prep the stuff in the weeks before.
Please no one take offense... we are just excited to help.
THE LAST THING WE WANT TO DO IS ALIENATE FELLOW AZINERS.
Puttin it together will take time, & money (most of it paid for by rounding up more sponsors), and in no way will it be easy. But I envision a GREAT MEET, where other clubs can look up to, & model there meets based on the success of ours.

My thing is if we have it nipomo everyone will have to drive a little bit which I think is more fair to everyone so people want say well if its in Fresno the Fresno dudes dont really have to drive and there saving and all this..
I really dont care Nipomo will be 5hrs for me and Fresno will be 2hours but I think it needs to be fair to everyone

The Fresno guys are setting this up for us. Doesn't that take a lot of work? And we are here complaining about driving long distances. We have the luxury of being in our cars with A/C, not like we're walking to the meet. Give Fresno a shot and next year we'll go to Nipomo or any place that's better than the previous year.

ok, i'll start
i'll bring my BBQ utensils and scrub brushes etc. lol thats what i brought last year and ended up "saving" the group with them. someone else was supposed to bring them last year and that person flaked so imaging how they felt with people ready to cook, no BBQ utensils, luckily i had mine. Oh and you can put me down for a BIG bag of charcoal too. im sure i'll think of more stuff to bring as the time gets closer.

It doesn't matter if they are or aren't, I think your mentality is a bit flawed. This is a community meet, I think we should all help make this meet become what it is, and not just put all the weight on a few people just because they are closer.
Granted, Fresno people should consider taking care of the area related items such as local vendors, the music, and anything that's park related. But everything else, I think we can all help out. I mean, after all this meet is for all of us.
edit, sorry, didn't see the red text. =) anyway, carry on.

Looks like Fresno it is. People voted and the majority won. Besides, Fresno isn't that much farther than Nipomo. If people are seriously interested in going, they won't really mind driving another 30 minutes or so. And if it's too far, then there's always next year... no hard feelings.
Regardless of where it's at (Nipomo or Fresno or Santa Barbara or where ever), someone's going to say it's too far for them. We're not going to be able to make everyone happy.
I myself would have liked for it to be closer too (hey, who wouldn't?) since for me it's approx. 225 miles to Fresno vs. 179 to Nipomo. But another 40-50 miles isn't going to kill me, especially when the Fresno people already have sponsors, a live dj, $500, etc.. lined up.
Based on what they have lined up so far, this meet is going to be the best yet. Isn't the point of the meet to get together and have fun?
If people really wanted it to be at Nipomo, someone should have stepped up and set things up like the Fresno people have so far.
Let's get this meet planning business started already. Enough of the complaining and bitching. Let's get the list started of who's going to go and what they're going to bring already.
