SLO has been mentioned so has Fresno, Woodwark Park that Trio has posted is awesome. The Freeways to get to Fresno are SMOOTH, Wide and Fast. The Shopping Center he has mentioned is spectacular, There is about a 20 mile cruise we take from Woodward that would take us past 2 lakes, a huge Casino, into the foothills then 20 minutes of driving thru winding wide fast smooth roads thru the foothills back to River Park that is new that has go carts, minature golf you name it. 20 different restaurants, minutes away a Brand New Acura Dealer, 6 new Hotels with very reasonable Rates PLUS we have a $500 sponsor. Fresno is dead center of Cali. we are 10 minutes from North Fork which is the center of Cali.
I will attend where ever it is held lets just make it a place worthy of our TL's and with decent roads to get to and from. With Picture taking spots that due just of our rides and Cali.

One more added thought, when we go in to places like Pismo, or SLO Acurazine does not have a presence in Fresno you do you see ther is a least 6-10 of us that are here that can do leg work and set up to make this Gathering one of the best in the Country.

^^^Look guys... I second that thought. I know Pismo is GREAT & THE BEACH IS FUN... but it truly is a just a beach destination. (A great small feel beach getaway)

You see how much trouble we are havin in findin a good spot for our large group. I was all for it... even gave you guys the numbers for the PISMO and SLO chamber of commerce. Talked to Vicky from the PISMO chamber several times & couldn't find a spot worthy of our large group.

Us here in Fresno have had this set up to meet all those needs.
PLUS WE GOT LOCAL FELLOW AZINERS READY TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

It just seems to me that everyone has this negative stigma about Fresno...

How bout givin us a chance to prove you wrong.

EVERY ONE WANTS TO SAY WHAT THEY WANT OUT OF IT.... BUT NO ONE IS WILLING TO DO THE RESEARCH & WORK TO GET IT DONE...
here is our proposal.

SMACK IN THE CENTER OF CALI
RIGHT OFF THE FREEWAY
NEXT TO SHOPS & RESTAURANTS
PLENTY OF PARKING
10 MINUTES AWAY FROM MOUNTAIN DRIVES or LAKES.
MILES OF CRUSING.
HUGE BAR-B-QUE AREAS WITH COVERED BENCHES
ALL NEATLY DONE IN A LOOP THAT PASSES LAKES-PONDS-STREAMS

O YEAH AND DONT FORGET A CONFIRMED $500 SPONSOR!

THE GOOGLE IMAGE MAPS ARE A FEW YEARS OLD... THE SURROUNDING AREAS HAVE FILLED WITH SHOPPING & RESTAURANTS.

I have no objection to Fresno but I'm not speaking for everybody else. I was there 2 weekends ago. Very nice roads as mentioned. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Dinuba and gambled at Tachi casino in Lemoore. Very nice places, so if we were to have it around Fresno, out of towners have places to spend the night.

Any place for the All-Cali meet is ok with me. I really don't care if the meet is in OC, Fresno, SJ, or Oakland, I will go to the meet if I could. The fact that most people here against Fresno IMO, because there is no onther place to go after the meet. Cruising? Sorry, most of us already cruise 4hrs+ to the meet and will spend another 4hrs+ to get back so I don't think anyone want to "cruise" after the meet any more. Pismo and SLO is the reason why most of us like to have the meet there because we can take very short drive to the beach and hang out. For the socal crew, we didn't go to the Pismo beach last meet but we all stop at Santa Barbara on the way back home. Anyway, let pick the place and move on to the next step of planning.

huy is one dedicated AZ member for real.

but honestly, u guys are way too picky with where we have this. its really getting to me. i say nipomo, if u guys don't like it just find another spot. its the best spot that i found right in the middle.

if u guys don't mind driving to Santa Barbara, I can find a nicer spot near the beach and drive down state to do something

if u guys want it more in norcal fine, find a good spot and go for it. seriously this is getting old always shooting down mine and other people's ideas just because you don't like it and not because it doesn't meet our criteria. or bitching about whether or not norcal/socal has to drive a little further.

its a majority decision... just make up your minds and so it.

First of all, no need for yelling (caps)....I'm sure you folks have a lot to offer to which some are grateful, myself included. However, there will always be nay-sayers, but be that as it may, this potentially large group meet just needs to be planned well for it to be a success. With that said, if this does end up at Fresno (or anywhere else for that matter), then whoever can make it, be there...if not, there's always another time, another place...

Nipomo is cool with me man. Fresno is a . I work in Del Monte in Hanford during the summer and stay in Fresno. That place is HOT as hell! But if everyone decide to Fresno is the place to be, then I'll come. I say someone make a poll (Fresno, Nipomo, or Pismo)?

ok fine, i did feel like searching for it, lol. found it.

nipomo looks good to me. you say theres plenty of parking, bbq pits, i see plenty of trees for shade... looks like a great spot.

seating might be a bit limited but that can be fixed with people bringing thier own chairs, shoot, i have like 7 i could bring. and i could bring a folding ladder so we can get some elevation for the group shot in the parking lot.

Right now i'm trying to find a map of the park showing where the 3 group spots are. but it looks very promising

Update: Found the link for the map of where everything is. Looks like its a far walk from the largest parking lot. but there are a few parking lots as well. Depending on how many people, we can choose the parking lots accordingly.

Largest Parking lot = very far
2nd largest parking lot = close to PINE group area; pretty close so its a good option
3rd parking lot = right next to it.

we might have to park in the largest one depending on how many attend, but that's what we gotta do. the 2nd largest one is good for about 50-70 cars, i can't count under the trees but am sure that they're there. i guess we can "make our own" and at the same time watch our cars.

only concern is baseball activity, but i'll double check with the parks tomorrow. so happy

looks like we found our venue, i'll call tomorrow.
i have to call again... this will be a potluck, your admission would be to bring something. that's all for now.

damn i hate this no edit business on acruazine.....

ok, just talked to my brother too, he's willing to come with us in his truck. and i know someone who will let me borrow thier folding tables... tables are like 9 feet long. even have a bunch of metal folding chairs to use too. so guys, when making the decision for the park, dont worry if seating and tables are a bit limited, i can remedy that.

if you go to street view and enter the park, theres a small bbq pit area right next to the big lot. it has 2 pits and one table.

we are worried about the temps but according to the Alamanac Nipomo temps same as Fresno, Nipomo will have to bring tables and chairs in additional pickups? Fresno's Woodward park has huge Picnic Area's with Cooling Fan's like you see at Football games if needed. Hotel Rates of $69 per night...What kind of sponsorship do we have in Nipomo,

FRESNO HAS A $500 SPONSOR....Sponsor for Nipomo.....Zip......

$500 sponsor from who? Is it cash or what kind of sponsor is it? please clarify.

For the last 2 all cali meet, I think there is only like one or two person who actually stay overnight before/after the meet. Almost everyone head home in the afternoon/night time so hotel rates has zero affect where the meet is. If you are REALLY insist on the meet at Fresno, (judging initial response from the vote which Nipomo is in favor), then go a head and be in charge to pick the date/place and create a new thread for final meet date/time and organize to plan the next step which consist of reserve the park, pay for the park, who bring what, what is need for the meet, etc.... End of debate!

Doesn't matter where is the meet will be held at, if people want to come, they will come. Everyone has different idea, opinion that pick either place won't satisfy with everyone. Same thing for the date.
