Don't know if this applies but someone suggested taking chips from other lines maybe the slow sellers. Might not work depending on what the chip is supposed to do. Really hate (NAH I don't) to bring up BMW but back in 2011 the 335is had a different computer than the 335i & they were not interchangeable. Did Beta work on the JB4 for the car & the program was much different than the base 335 JB4 system.

Here is the really important question. When the official information gets released, is someone going to start a new thread so that we don’t have to keep checking on this thread that has gone nowhere in months?

6G TLX-S
Therefore, the US market won't have limited availability of TLX-S, unlike that for the Canada market.

Was a nice run clean run. Liked the cones at the apexes which the driver hit very well but agree it was not being pushed very hard. Most likely because it was being paced by the camera car. Point is they were developing an add for general consumption & did it very well. Liked the section through the Corkscrew.

These are out in the wild. I saw a red one this morning with no plates in the San Fernando Valley. And yes, definitely a type-s. NSX style 20" rims with a quad exhaust.

No offense to those who crave this color, but it will be the preferred choice of pimps and drug dealers (no offense to pimps and drug dealers). This color will also be a major speed trap magnet.

It will get a big push in first model year and be readily available. Beyond that it will likely be a special order as history has shown with all "different colors" they are scarce after the initial year they are available.

I'd like/have to see it in person, but tend to agree, it wouldn't be for me. Probably Modern Steel Metallic over black would be my first choice. I like a car that can perform, but not looking to be flashy or draw the attention of the LEOs.

That Tiger Color looks the best on the TLX IMO. lol. I think it's a great color.

Modern Steel or Black would be my first choice. My car is blue so I'm bored with this colour. I also prefer not to stand out on the road.

According to this, the only interior with modern steel metallic is black:

Have you noticed whether you attract more attention from the cops with the blue car over the years or you just don't want others to be admiring your car and complimenting you all the time? I'm just curious as I never had a blue car and am considering this color for the first time.

The color options for the Type-S will make it easier for me to wait a while before looking to trade my 2021-2L, assuming I like what I learn from the reviews. I had the same dilemma in 2000 when I got a silver CL-S that was not my favorite, but the best of the colors available at launch. Naturally, the next year they offered a pretty dark blue. We already have a white RDX, I drove a silver CL-S for 21 years (sold it last weekend), I'll bet the red will be dazzling, but I don't want to stand out. Black is too funereal. Apex Blue Pearl is too "candy" colored, but maybe with the orchid interior. And of course, my pimping days are over, so the Tiger Eye is not an option. Maybe next year there will be more color options. I love the fathom blue pearl on my current TLX, but it is a major dirt magnet.

Correction:
1. Majestic Black Pearl w/red or black interior(preferably red)
2. Platinum White Pearl w/red or black interior(preferably red)
3. Apex Blue Pearl w/black interior
Might have to put the accord 2.0 back to stock....

Has anyone posted this video by Ryan Eversley?
1. Launch was planned to be end of June at that time.
2. Ryan spilled a couple beans and mentioned "rotation" before being cut by the PM. Obviously he was going to say the car rotated very well. He also vaguely mentioned good power on the straight.
3. PM confirmed Type-S is very much track ready.
4. Max torque at 1400 rpm. Woohoo!
5. Build page will go live on 20th.
Acura also announced today the public debut of Type-S at Mid-Ohio this week. Type-S will be the pace car.

even better. Acura has the best AWD system...being a full mechanical system and with the ability to really torque vector so well, that when in a hard turn, the car does
rotate out of the corner very well. This is nothing new for the Type S. It was also well talked about on the A-Spec.
Over a yr ago I read a great article by someone who raced cars...but, not famous....and he talked about how to truly appreciate Acura's AWD system. The average person
will never learn to appreciate what it can do on dry roads, since they will be too afraid to "push it" at speed in hard sweeping turns. He said that's where the system can fully
be appreciated. His reference was..."how well it rotated when pushed really hard." Again, most won't "get it" 'cause they will not be comfortable in pushing that hard....but, with
the proper tires...it would surprise you. I don't remember his name. But, after reading what he had to say...I decided to try it out on my '18 TLX A-Spec. Meaning, I pushed it harder
than I ever had before on a long somewhat tight sweeping on ramp that I had driven on many times. I pushed it faster than I ever had...and WOW....he was right. It was glued to the
road, virtually no body roll and it really powered through that turn. You can actually feel the rotation. I'm not a race car driver....but, have had many high perf. cars. I know that a "pro"
could have taken that ramp at an even faster rate than I did. Yes, I was a "little unsure" of just how fast I could trust it....or me!....if I went "too far."
Most driving with this system appreciate it's ability on roads that are less than ideal...wet, slushy, snow packed, etc. But, his point, and the point on this video was how well the system
will allow the rear to rotate when powered through turns on DRY roads. I have pushed some of my RDX's too....a little...just to feel what it's like on dry roads. You can tell the diff. vs.
other SUV's out there. It's one of the big plusses for the Acura brand...and most don't truly know about it...again, based on what I've shared concerning ability to rotate on dry roads at
higher speeds.
