'18 TLX A-Spec no camera button
So, the Advance model is the only one to have the camera button in the center console which allows you to bring up the different surround camera views. I presume this is due to the cameras included the mirrors and behind the front bumper/emblem for that trim level. Has anyone attempted upgrading to the power folding mirrors, adding the front surround view camera, to include any requisite wire harnesses, and adding the Advance package switch assembly to see if the camera button will work the same as in the Advance model?
If you have and it works, I'd greatly appreciate a parts list and any insight into any challenges encountered.

Once factoring in parts and installation cost, may as well just get the Advance model no? Seems like a lot of tweaking for just a view. My car has 360 and I almost never use it, backup view is cut short which is THE view I want lol
Well, I already have the A-Spec and do like some of the differences between the two, but a little disappointed they omitted these features considering what other manufacturers include in lower cost vehicles. I'd have been happier with them pairing the Advance package, vs. Tech, with A-Spec, but such is life. Maybe I'll be able to locate parts off a totaled '18 Advance in a few years.

The Canadian TLX A-Spec has the Advance features IIRC. IMO, a silly decision by whoever decides packaging options for Acuras not to have that in the USDM TLX A-Spec. I would really benefit from the 360 cameras, honestly, having scraped a rear passenger wheel already
.
You can do it aftermarket using a device like Navtool (though I don't recommend that company, just an example) and add on your own front and side cameras. Plenty of camera kits available on eBay so you can do it yourself, or pay an electronics shop to do it for you. I looked into it strongly while I had my RLX Sport Hybrid, which for 2014 didn't come with 360 degree cams.

Yeah, I'd like to have the front/side cameras when parking in my garage since I have some much stuff piled around where I park. Makes it easy to keep from hitting/scraping anything as well as ensuring there is space for people to get in or out of the car.
Guess I should have traveled to Canada to get my car.

IMHO, the A-Spec exterior is more aggressive, i.e. less watered-down, than the rest which is something I like. If dreams were reality, I'd prefer it paired with the Advance package, vs. Tech, with a manual transmission, and with legit exhaust tips vs. the faux exhaust tips it comes with, if for no other reason than the faux tips remind me of something GM/Ford would do.

Ha, is Elite a Honda trim? No such Acura trim in 'Merica.
