Is there a way I can do it myself or the only way is to get ripped off by having the dealer to do it?

 

You need a locksmith that has an HDS or equivalent device to program to the ECU

 

I just got the Launch 431x Pro Mini (about $750) and was able to program the ECU and keys. It was pricey but the dealer wanted $1,150 for the ECU and $300+ in labor.

So, a locksmith should be able to program your FOB. Also, when I asked, they would do multiple keys for $130
