Removing Sprint Booster

Hoping that someone who has had one of these can help me out. I'm trying to remove the Sprint Booster from my 2012 AT TL and can't get the thing to budge. Is there a retaining clip holding the unit onto the accelerator module that I'm missing?

It wasn't a good fit for me. The throttle seemed way too twitchy, even in the lesser "Green" mode. Sprint Booster offers a 30-day money back guarantee so you can try it which is nice. Just need to get the darn thing uninstalled.

Here's a picture. I need to somehow get my hand behind the Sprint Booster to release the clip while pulling up. Easier said than done it seems.

There is definitely a clip there. When I put mine it it was a very tight fit. I anything ever goes wrong I am not sure how I will remove mine. It will be a pita.

Does anyone know the procedure for removing the pedal? This would be an easy task if there was only some space to work.

Look for the 6MT sport pedal thread in this section. There's a quick how-to for it.

What do you mean by too twitchy? Is it too sensitive and you find the car jerks forward when you apply throttle or something?

To remove the gas pedal, push down on the return spring there and pull the pedal forward. It's super easy to remove, but confusing if you're looking at it with no knowledge of how to do it.

That said I have no other advice for getting the Sprint Booster off as I've never seen one.

It took away your ability to smoothly modulate the throttle and made everything very binary. Going to pass a car on the highway for example. Give the car some throttle and you suddenly jump from 2000 RPM to well north of 5000 RPM. This may have to due with the Sprint Booster not accounting for the double downshift feature of the AT 2012-2014 TL.

Interesting, I mean it makes sense that it would activate the double-downshift considering that feature would be directly related to throttle input and the sprint booster really increases that. I can see how that might be annoying if you're just looking to increase speed without hammering it. I've read a lot of positive reviews but most seemed to be from manual transmission owners.
