Selling my 01 cls but I would rather part out the car.

I am seeing if there is enough interest to part it out or to sell it outright as a complete car.

Car is extremely reliable, except my darn transmission.

I just spent +5k on tools and a new box yesterday for a new dealership job.
I would've scooped those plenums in a sec.

Ive been waiting forever for them to come along.

Progression if you dont have interest in a couple days I'll take them.
I just need to get my head straight after spending so much.
I'm actually going to buy some more tools right now and I just have to see what I'll have left.

 

It seems I have enough interest in the car to begin parting it out. Not sure yet. But my gut tells me in 2 weeks if I don't sell the car as a whole then I will sell it as individual parts.

The hard part is shipping quotes. The parts are not off the car so I cannot even get a true quote for any of you. All I can guarantee is that I will do my best to find the best and most affordable method to ship the parts.

 

I would get firm agreements in place, first. A lot of people say they want stuff, but then are nowhere to be found when it comes time to pay. Have a list of all of your main parts and the username of someone who is a for sure buyer. And maybe even have a back up. You could post that on here to put pressure on people to follow through.

 

do you have oem parts to put back on? you could take deposits from ppl so you know they're serious.

 

I'd love those Comptech headers. And P2R plenums but I can barely close my hood as it is.

 

I only have the stock plenums left over in the garage. now is that moment where you think... damn i wish i had saved them.

 

i need to find the oem plenums and then, what i will be doing for sure this weekend is taking the plenums off the car on the weekend. if you want them, pm me. and i will put you on the list.

then i can get shipping quotes once they are off the car.

 

Well you are all getting your wish. I have decided I am parting the car out. Parting out every single thing. What is left of the car goes to the scrap yard. The scrapers offered me 50$ for my car. Buahahahah

Why have I made up my mind to part it out? I was driving home and gassed the car in 1st in the rain and then the tires started skipping. Then I heard something in the exhaust give out. I am imagining it is the flex pipe on the headers as the flex pipe is original. It's raining hard here so I'm not looking to find out but I am pretty sure it's a ruptured flex pipe.

Either way I am not fixing it, and I am not selling the car sounding like that.

So Sunday the parts are coming off. I don't know how far I will get but I will definitely have a lot of stuff off the car. Plenums, mufflers, intake, tb spacer, steering wheel will all be off. I don't know how seized the header bolts will be but I will find out surely on Sunday.

So once again. It's official.

Was interested in headers but condition sounds questionable...

 

Header flex pipe is now destroyed. I'm kinda happy about that cause I would have sold it on its last legs and then someone would have likely been passed off and thought I cheated them. So a new flex pipe is needed. Not a big deal. 250 now for the headers. And they have over 100$ of Dei wrap on them with silicone spray sealant.

 

What color is your interior? I might be interested in the bottom front of the driver seat.

 

Bottom front of the drivers seat has a crack in the fake leather. I bet that is the same in your car lol. I used black fishing line as thread and hand stitched it together and that fixed the issue. Thread will never wear out either because it's 20lb test line ��

 

Lol I have a huge rip on the left side of the seat, a seat cover works on normal occasions but when removed, its a disaster!!

I just want to say sorry for being so slow with the pictures. Work is absolutely mental right now. I wake up when the sun comes up and I get home just before that sucker goes down. It is going to be the weekend before I have those pictures up. Sunday. And if shit hits the fan it will then have to be Monday as I get most of Monday's off.

I will take detailed pictures of everything. And I will show the blow out on the flex pipe so whoever buys the headers knows exactly what the issue is..

I should also mention I have injen intake for sale for 130.


I will say the mufflers are in absolute mint condition. Whoever gets them is going to be one lucky sob lol. Just wait for the pictures

 

car is being scrapped on monday.

if you want anything off the car plz tell me and i will pull it off. even if you are not sure due to shipping costs i will pull it off and then it at least can potentially get a second life.

it hurts knowing the whole car is getting crushed up. for example the trunk is immaculate. and its going to be crushed up.

no one has dibs lol until i recieve payment nothing is finalized. people who as first i give them first chance once the parts are off car on sunday. then i can start unloading these bad boys to their new home. I will get good pictures of everything also once they are off and you guys can drool then :-)

my car is on modified tein comfort sport gold coilovers used for the tsx. I had to change the front spring rate so the car doesn't bottom out all the time. but it still bottoms out over big bump at a good speed. and the back clicks all the time when its 15 degrees or colder. so I would be a dick If I sold them and put you in that scenario I feel. I don't want anyone to feel like the got a raw deal. this site has been great to me and I want to return the favor by selling my parts and have the buyer happy with their purchase.


plus...I cannot scrap the car unless it can roll away by tow truck so I could not sell them if I wanted to.

what a LOWBALL tsovtom... nope. it also comes with the curved defouler for no CEL. and i am also just going to leave the o2 sensor in it so its easier for me and whoever installs it in the end.

the thing is mint so i am not bending over to sell it. never been scraped, dinged or anything. and it fits like a glove.

EVERYONE i need to apologize... parts will not be coming off today. it will have to be tomorrow after work because some guys are doing construction right in front of my damn bay where the hoist is. they are removing the concrete wall on the second floor to make a huge window for the business about the auto shop my family rents out. and i am pretty livid about it because today was my only day off in 2 weeks. so now i will be under the gun tomorrow as i will be starting around 3pm i imagine.

how does those comptech mufflers sound??

 

Slightly louder than stock and beautiful note. Nothing obnoxious, very tasteful sound. No drone no rasp no resonating issues. It's clean looking and sounding. There are no fitment issues whatsoever. The quality is superb. They are mint.
