Playing Video DVD's

Is there some sort of bypass or something that will allow video DVDs to play on the tech screen? Or is there something that can be done? Just curious. Would be nice to have that option.

This is a bad idea. No qualifications...simply a bad idea. Further, it's illegal in most places. Most importantly, it's irresponsible.

Drivers have one job. One. and it can't be carried out while relaxing to a good movie.

I'm just assuming since new cars allow video playback while vehicle is in park, figured this car would do it. If the vehicle itself played DVD's and just cut out the vidio, that would be fine for me. I just have a bunch of music video DVD's and I want to use that (since all of my MV-DVD's have DTS) and it'd be a better sound quality. My parents car does it lol.

When I read the navtool specs, this is what i was thinking:

Lightning to 30-pin Adapter TO Apple Composite AV Cable

Unless the video out of iphone 5+ doesnt carry over with the 30-pin - then yes, what you said.
