I have a 2012 TL. My passenger side headlight went out so i replaced the bulb and it didn’t work. Then i bought a ballast and replaced that as well with the new bulb, worked for 2-3 weeks and went out. Is this a common issue? I’ve had the car only about a month and a half. And what could possibly be the problem now? Why did it burn out so fast?

It could be a bad ballast from autozone, but best thing to do is check all wires and grounds and connections first.

Ideally, you should have swapped parts from working side to non working side 1 at a time to figure out what the problem was before buying parts.

You can buy OEM used ballasts for $40-50, and most HID bulbs are very bad on the market. Stick with good bulbs from a place such as theretrofitsource.com they also sell used ballasts.
