Unlike the 09-11 the bottom rear of the 12-14's bumpers aren't leveled with the kit and the exhausts, it felt like the bottom part of the bumper didn't fit well especially with the rear aero kit, so I installed these, . I'm in love with my TL so idk if it makes it look tacky, bad or better, what do you guys think? No one else seems to have done it.
The plastics blend better in real life not sure why the diffuser stands out in this picture.

Excuse my parking job, lot was empty anyways.

it's not what we think!!!
it's what you think!!
obviously, you took the time to put the work in, so I KNOW you like it.

I would enjoy it more if the car was modded more, ie; needs more ricer parts to make the diffuser flow with the rest of the car

that reminds me of what my non-car friend said about my car....
see, I think I have tasteful mods that add to the car, but this fool was like..."yeah, your car starting to look like the fast and the furious."

so, again...it doesnt really matter what we think, as long as you enjoy your car

Not bad, how about some pictures without any filters on it. Looks like you added HDR to it.

looking forward to seeing non hdr pictures with more viewing angles. I felt the same way as the OP, the middle of the rear bumper on the 12+ model tl's seems to be incomplete as the sides hang lower than the center.

I think it looks pretty good. Personally for me, I think it would look better if it appeared to be one piece rather than an addition but still a good idea. Definitely need to run a front splitter to compliment the rear.

In for better pictures as well.

Car's very dirty, Vancouver just got the rain after the snow. I'll prolly plastidip the diffuser and the bottom some time this summer so they'll blend together.

It's secured with 3M tapes on the edges and layered 3Ms on the middle parts and 3 zipties. 1 on each side about 4 inches from the each exhaust tip and one to that tow hitch. At least if the tapes give out I'll still have a $50 dangling diffuser I can reattach.

I feel like splitters won't look good unless it's lowered like yours. Maybe in the future I'll get it lowered after I get the exhausts done.

Thanks! Being my first car, it's scary how addicting it is to browse around the forums and plan the things you can do with the car, I've manage to control myself to $$$ cosmetic modifications so far. Exhausts, rims and springs...$$$$ future plans, will have to sit down and talk to my wallet for those.

It actually looks good on stock height. Subtle and stands out just enough. Great job!

Normally I'd be against this kind of a mod on a nearly stock car, especially a TL, but that actually have a very OEM look to it. I'm a big fan.

+1 maybe have a shop can custom mold it into 1 piece would definitely look cleaner and have a front splitter, but for that YOU NEED MOAR LOW!

Yeah, after looking at the new pics you posted up, it looks pretty damn sick. I don't mind the "2 piece" look at all. It still looks great IMO.

To add to the one piece would look better discussion... I had trouble keeping mine nice and flush to the existing diffuser even with screws and two sided tape. So I added in the little gap a line of black silicone. Looks like it's one piece now.

You're welcome. I didn't know they could fit the face lift 4G TL. I have a FWD 13.

You inspired me to do mine! Except I colour matched it because I like the cleaner look took little modifications just have to cut around the tow hook! 3m and bolted in place love the final result. Small simple and clean!
