I wouldn't be too hasty about the rear end. The masking is meant to be deceptive and follow a different line than the actual design I suppose to generate controversy like this.

I feel it will be a design that will grow on me. Kind of like the first generation IS300 was a jaw dropper, and then the 2nd generation IS had to grow on me, which i happen to love now.

ok, I feel the need to be a speck of light in this thread. The 09 (judging from the pics) isnt all bad.
I like the chrome trim around the windows. I also like the shape of the head and tail lights. The decklid spoiler also adds a nice touch.
While it could be smaller, I real like the shape of the car. It's more rounded, but still kind of aggressive, just not too much.

i think the TL peaked to its full potential with the 2004-2008 body. its gonna be very hard for acura to beat the current style and from the looks of it, i def dont think thats gonna happen. so far, not a fan!!

I agree with you, it looks different from current TL but still nice...it looks more expensive and aggressive at the same time...i think people here are close minded...and doesn't want to give up their old gf...jk
but anyways just wait and see with your own eyes... and pray...

yea first time i looked at this i was like wtf??? then you have to remember that this is a luxury sedan and not a sports sedan... which makes the shape agreeable in certain ways i guess =/

I wish they didn't blur out the license plate. I could at least locate what county its in in Ohio and start searching. I'm off for the next week and this would make perfect time to try to try and find this...

Oh man so close....
Looks like I'm going to have to keep my eyes open on the freeways a bit more... If they are cruising around I keep my camera with me at all times...
By the looks of the freeway it looks as if they are on I33 or I70 outside Columbus... I wonder if I can spot anything If I head down there...

i think the rear end takes hues from the 08 maxima blended with 1st gen CL.. def not a fan!
Sorry if this is a dumb question but i haven't read through all the posts, but im assuming there will be some sort of an a-spec package with this? Curious to see what that would look like...
I have a 3G a-spec and I think it makes it look like an entirely different car then the standard offering.

I got curious the other night and decided to do a Photchop real quick on one of the back end spy shots. Based on where the tape is (zoomed way in to see it) and what a few people who supposedly have seen the car have said, I came up with the second pic below. Mind you, this is pretty rough, but hopefully you can see how a little bit of tape can totally mess with the lines. With the lenses extended horizontally to where the tape ends, the car's lines look a lot nicer...at least I like them better. This also falls in line with the way the exhaust tips are elongated. One more thing I did was adjust the photo so as to bring out the blue paint better.
There's some other stuff with tape on the back end, but I have no idea what it might be covering.
Anyway, just wanted to share this. First is the spy shot un-retouched, and second is the one I did for comparison.

Interesting design
The new TL looks to be interesting I am withholding comment till i see it, when I saw the pics of the new TSX I thought it was but ugly, when I saw it in person it is a bad ass looking car even though the engine is kinda soft
