I've decided that the mules are the result of ripping off some previous design cues.

There seems to be A LOT of tape on the upper doors and sides of the mules which gives me hope that there are some saving graces not yet visible.

Why I'm contributing to this pointless brake thread must prove how bored I am tonight but here goes. Edmunds just did their road test on a 2009 TSX and compared to a 2004 TL they road tested, the 3G TL not only outbraked 60-0 the TSX but scored subjectively much higher (excellent for the TL vs. poor for the TSX). The TL also did three successive 60-0 stops in the writeup and they were all under 116 ft. Overall pretty impressive numbers for the TL, although this one did have the summer Potenza tire option meaning better gripping rubber, but the TSX also had smoking brakes after it's stops.

So in the end it's performance that counts, so hopefully the 4G TL follows in the 3G TL performance spectrum with some improvement. The 2G TSX is actually longer compared to the 1G TSX.

i would HOPE that a TL with Brembos would completely smash on a TSX, regardless whether or not it was a G1 or G2 TSX...

i highly doubt the 4G TL will have Brembos. for some reason i speculate that the new TL will get watered down and comfy, although i HOPE i am wrong.

MAN!! STILL no real pics. This thread *may* approach interesting in about 2 months...
Seeing disputes over brakes, and grilles and taillights gets old.
I saw a IS250 today...man that is one of the best looking cars Ive seen in a while. Too bad it doesnt have a 6 cylinder manual version. I would be thrilled if the TL looked as good as that.

I don't know if you are referring to Lexus or Acura but the Lexus IS250 does have a 6 speed manual transmission and is a V6

IS250 is smaller than TL and look wise doesn't compare to TL IMO...08 TL-S best looking car overall....If i have to choose, i would go for TL again.

i think the cars "ok" except for the trunk, looks like a damn camary. and the exhaust, looks like they just took it straight off a MDX and slapped it right on

Wow ur right. The IS250 does have a 6 cylinder engine. I saw the horsepower numbers and immediately assumed it was a 4 cylinder.
200 HP ?!? WTF Lexus ? I guess I meant a REAL 6 cylinder engine...at least 250 HP...
Oh and as far as the 08 TLS being better looking. I guess its in the eye of the beholder. I still think the "base" TL looks better than the TL-S....but thats another debate for another day.

OLD ...YES, but they are the only uncovered photos of the front grille thus far...and i dont think the production model with the bra on it is going to be much different except for the headlamp detail.

I dont know why others dont pay much attention to this spy shot cos it is so good that acura decided to cover it back up in the later spy shots.

We already know that the front grill will be like the one on the TSX and RL 2009...
It's the new style brend, like it or not.
The only BIG difference I think will be in the shape of the front lights, they could be very similar to the MDX ones... and the shape of the under grill near the 2 foglights in the old and new spy shots look good, more aggressive...

Krio, this is the point....the BIG difference will be under the grille near the 2 foglights and that is what im trying to get my point across in this spy shot....you can see the foglights and vents tilt agressively up and to the sides...sure it is nothing new but it gives us a idea of what is under the bra on the newer photos....

I am not trying to say that i found an UNDISCOVERED SPY PHOTO...just one that doesnt seem to get much attention and also one that has not been posted in this thread yet.....it is the first spy pic of the 09 TL and the most revealing pic of the front grille.....nothing new but at least it is not a C&D photo post! Just my
