Lol. Glad to see u were paying attention.
I like the lower grill area and integrated fogs. I think its going to be a looker. I just hope the performance numbers are up there.

But I hope there will be more wood and chrome trimming inside, and no more Aluminum!

Personally, I hate bright chrome; Black Chrome is better. Aluminum and Carbon Fiber, especially on interior trim, FTW.

Actually, I'm not sure which one he was referring to. Isn't the CTS new?
I don't know Caddies much. Hell, I had to look in the dictionary to see if Cadillac had one L or two. I assumed it would just have a "chopped off " look, which we already have.

From what I've read, it’s supposed to have a grill similar to the one on the current MDX. If this is true, I'm looking forward to it, but if what you guys are saying is true about it resembling a fkn Cadillac, I'll be disappointed.

1) Its an American car. nuff said.
2) Down here, the Cadillac has fallen victim to the whole hip-hop garbage look. I've seen the new CTS with 22+ inch 3 spoke rims, lights in the trunk that say some shit like "Pimpin Aint Easy", Candy paint (yes on the new CTS), etc.
Don’t get me wrong, before I bought my TL, I considered the 08 CTS and it was on my list of cars to test drive, but at that time I was still new to TX and hadn’t seen what ppl do to them down here.

the CTS is the first cadillac worth of with speaking about. Let's wait the new TL for comparing them. No history. No fight. Only one winner. And it will be the TL.

if u look closely, those are a-spec wheels it's riding on, pretty sure it's going to be the tl

[QUOTE=LyfeIs]I have 2 major problems with the CTS.
1) Its an American car. nuff said.
You need to go take a second look at where the TL is made
Now maybe the CTS isn't of the same quality, but as it's a new model this year, so will the TL. Especially after reading these forums, I'm not about to buy first year.

I apologize if I insulted your national pride buddy, but an American car will never feel the pavement of my driveway.

Don’t think this is the right place for this but since it pertains to what Acura is going to offer in the 2009 line-up, I'll post it anyway. The following link mentions the 2009 RL and TSX features and it also states that they'll be at the Chicago auto show.

Your statement said "American made, "nuff said".
I was merely pointing out your ignorance, which you helped amplify in your response.
And I'm not your "buddy" ..!

I took "factory delivery" of mine there to get the free drivers school & factory tour, but it was built in Germany & just prepped for final delivery in Spartanburg. This would clearly make the BMW 3 series an imported German car.
The Acura by comparison is as American as Apple Pie & Chevrolet. Designed in California & built in Ohio.

It may have been posted here, but come on 30-something pages...
When will the 4th gen TL come out and be officialy for sale?
My guess would be around Sept 08???
I just thought it's a lillte bit too late, that there is no official "clean" picture yet anywhere?
How much are we expecting this to be (non type S? 35-36K?
Thks.

Lookin at the old photos of the Sport 4 Concpet, I beginning to believe the next TL will be much more similar to the Sport 4 concept (front and rear) than the next TSX gen. pretended to be...

Besides I have seen some of the TSX,s with Chrome door handles that look tasteful. It's a personal choice and usually a dealer option. Yes the TL is elegant but it's more than just looking great that have made it's sales numbers so good.

target date is soppossed to be around august, but sept is a fair estimate, and as far as what it's going to sell for, around 36k is also a good estimate, but i'm kind of under the assumption that it's going to be closer to 40k, there's no solid answers at the moment, just estimates, you'll only see more answers as we get closer to the release date, even my new acura rep hasn't even seen it, he's only heard of another co-worker driving the SH-AWD model and said " it's going to be amazing " but my personal feelings is that the sh-awd model will handle like the current RL but with alot more torque

I hope it won't be as nice as our 3rd gen
u know what, I am sure I'm not the only one....
sorry guys, I just bought an 06, and will really hate to see the resale value falling after the 4th gen comes out...
I'm thinking like the BMW 3 series (2003-2005 facelift model), or the Honda Accord (2002 model), which hold their resale value much better than the next gen. models..---->may not be completely true, but who likes those new BMW 3 series taillights (sedan)?

Do you really think the 3G TL's resale values will drop *that* much when the 4G's come out? I find that hard to believe. We're not talking about a Detroit 3 rental fleet car, here.

My TL can do this, too!
Stop it With the Nissan Comparisons Already!
Really, if you say a car looks like a Nissan (or any other brand) you should really state the points that lead you to your conclusion.
I wish the old spyshot photos of the 3G TL were still around. Unfortunately, they are not. Those photos looked like they use the same cloak that they're using for the 4G. As it turned out, the 3G doesn't look anything like what it did under the cloak, so just let it rest, please.
BTW, I hope it doesn't look like a Nissan either. Nor a BMW, Audi, Subaru, etc.

Those review mirrors are obviously part of the disguise. I haven't seen it mentioned yet but has anyone noticed that the passenger and drivers side mirrors are different?
Maybe it will have review cameras mounted flush instead of mirrors hanging off. I saw something like that on one of the concept photos. Can't remeber which one though.
With regard to the post above about the 3rd gen spy shots. I agree completely that what we will eventually see will probably be nothing like what we are seeing now even though it's cloaked.
For all we know that could simply be a 3rd gen body with a MDX grill and some fabricated lower grills covering the 4th gen chassis. The windshield, roof line, door pillars look A LOT like a 3rd gen. Then they cloak it to make it look as though it's the new one when in fact it's not the new body style at all. Lots of manufacturers do that to throw off the spies. Intentional misdirection.

News from TOV:
Considering that the '09 TL will supposedly be getting a 3.5L (FF) and 3.7L (SH-AWD), it seems odd that the RL would stick with the 3.5, so this might be an error. The styling revisions to the RL are said to have given the car an edgier look.
The same source indicated that the 2009 TL will be offered in both front-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, with the front-drive models running a 3.5L V6 and the SH-AWD model getting a 3.7L version. We had heard a while back that the SH-AWD version would deliver a little over 300hp, so we're guessing that's the same motor that the 306hp RL will be getting, and they'll both be 3.7L.

New Gen 4 TL coming out this October
I was at the Acura Dealership yesterday to purchase a part for my TL and happened to speak with one of the sales persons, he said that Acura will be selling the NEW Acura TL and RL body styles this October coming up.
Does any one have a good picture this upcoming TL. I have seen some pictures on the net but not really good ones. I found one that looked like the TL had rear lights close to the Nissan Maxima.

To answer your question - no one has seen any pictures other than the heavily camouflaged spy photos which have been circulating around the Net for some time (and which can also be seen in the above linked thread.

No pics here, but a word of advice: there are *always* problems with the first year (sometimes into the 2nd year) of a redesign model's production run. Unless you're hip on recalls and actually locating problems in your $30-40k automobile, it's would be better to wait until the 2010 models come out in my opinion.
