The TL chop is old. Honda will not produce any coupe off the current TL design which is already 4 years old. Both the TL and TSX sedans will get new designs before any new A coupe comes out.
I believe a coupe may be come off the TSX redesign, and is reported to be offered as a convertible too. Yawn.

Keep in mind, this just gives hints about the new Acura CL. The 4th gen TL and CL (if there is one) will be as different in appearance as the current TL and Accord sedan.

It would be nice if the Accord Concept hints towards cues that could show up in the next-Gen Acuras... Who knows, maybe the Accord concept is actually a next-Gen Acura in Honda clothing and maybe the next Accord will be toned down to be lesser than the Acura cousin... That was kind of my initial impression at the auto show was how can they build a Honda Accord this cool, how will they top this in the Acura line... hmmm, makes you wonder...

Great PhotoChop for the coup TL, they can bring that in the market right now as a CL if they want to . I hope the 4th Gen comes with SH-AWD for the TL. And if it has some HP to play with, i think some Nissan/Infiniti fans would also like to try what TL got. Im afraid if the car wont come with v8 Option, The AWD can steal most of the power of that beautiful TL

The next generation TL and CL will probably follow the design cues of the new MDX.
Here are some images of the Legend coupe concept, I also have a concept car image of a CL from a japanese car magazine, but haven't been able to scan it.
IMO, acura should have made the CL look like the original CL-X concept, but it probably was too ahead of its time.

since the TL and TSX are both getting makeovers in the 2009 year, when can we *usually* expect to see previews?
one of the things that are holding me back from getting an 07 g35 or IS350 is waiting to see what the new TL or TSX has to offer. The current TL body is perfect for me, but I know i'll regret getting something that's going to be phased out in a year.

Nice. I like it much better than the Advanced Sedan Concept, too.
Headlights look a lot like the RL.
Mirrors look slick, but also look like there's not much room for glass!
I wonder if they'd keep the front fascia or tone it down. It's really sharp.
I wonder what the sedan version will look like...

the TSX coupe will probably be a more refined luxury RSX, but I am not sure about what type of moniker will be used.
As for the convertible, it is 80% likely that the next model Honda S2000 will be rebadged and sold as an Acura as stated in the previous post. There have been rumors in Japanese magazines that it may have a V-6 or even possibly a V-8, since the next generation NSX-class Acura/honda will be powered by a V-10!!!
Interestingly, there are also concepts and plans for a smaller sized NSX with a V-8 engine, I have some pictures, but no scanner... Will try to post these soon.

Honda is famous for prototypes that are all talk and no production.....but here in the real world, you can see the new honda coupe styling trend by looking at a Honda already on the road today...the new Civic Coupe.
The prototypes show this same design trend. I know the Civic coupe is polarizing, but I think it is the best Honda design out now, sure, it's stumpy and tall, but stretched out on a larger frame it could look very nice.
This is what all upcoming coupes (and some sedans will be based off). IMHondaO.

Also that car in the photochop looks sharp... but it seems a bit too normal.. like riced Acura Integra or something. Some how the design looks outdated. it looks too typical..... know what I mean?

How will the 2009 Acura TL (and/or TSX) be announced?
I'm impatiently deciding whether I should jump ahead and get an 06 IS350 this summer, or pay off my Accord in 2008, save up $6000 for another year and getting a 2010 model year Acura TL (or TSX) in 2009.
So any idea on how Acura is going to announce the 2009 TL/TSX OFFICIALLY (not rumored or concept)? Will it be at an auto show or just a press release?
