I highly doubt thats how the headlights are going to look, and remember, they put a whole lotta padding under the camo so you can't even make out the lines of the car and things like the headlight cover are shaped like that to decieve people. As for the grille, I hope they come up with something a little more down to earth.

about the headlights, i've seen other spyshots and you can just make out the outline of the cluster. they DO NOT look like that. its just to throw you off. it drives me crazy that the new TL is just underneath there!

I dunno but I must also be in the minority. I like the new MDX grille. Every time I see one behind me in my rear view mirror, it looks so menacing

Happy Holidays!
Add me to another person who really likes the MDX grill. Acutally I like the design of the entire MDX SUV. I will consider buying one probaby in 2 years. The rear is really nice too.

I'm hoping for SH-AWD and 300hp. Just some guesses based on the competition 10 gig music library, auto headlights, push button ignition, suspension selections for sport and touring and the push of a button, adaptive cruise control, heat AND cooled seats, selectable dash lighting colors, adaptive headlights, same MPG (better if really lucky), hd radio, --- just a short list

Acura is actually being smart (to our disappointment) about keeping the new TL and TSX in mystery. Think about it, if people new what the new TL looked like and what new features it would have, Acura wouldn't sell many more 2008 TLs. Who would buy a 2008 TL if you knew that a better TL will be out next year?
Man I am one of those people. I just bought an 08 TL. It was a tough choice, not knowing what the 09 is gonna look like, but I have been in love with the 3G for a long time and planned to get one.. I went ahead and did it, and who knows I may regret it in a few months.
As far as looks go the 3G is perfect IMO, but I would definitely like some of those other features (keyless start, music lib, cooled seats, etc.). However I would not enjoy having to pay 40+ for it. This is how I came to the conclusion that I should BUY IT NOW!!

The current Gen TL is gonna be pretty hard to top for the bang for the buck one gets. No doubtedly the new TL will have more tech goodies but will cost more money. I think it'll replace the RL while the new TSX will move up to the TL's perch. The RL will be phased out (it's rumored to have stopped production for 08/09-->on the RL forum). A new flagship will come out in 10/11

The base price cannot grow up too much, about 34 - 35000$.
Or we get 2 engines, 3.2/3.5 and a bigger 3.7, but it seems to me difficult, or the AWD will be optional, and than what? RWD?
For the fully loaded TL 2009, Tech. package and Sport package, with about 300-310 hp, we get somethinjg around 41-43.000$.
It seems however that, at the end, Acura 'd present the new TL as a GS/E/A6/BMW 5 class competitor, bigger and wider than our 3d generation, and the TSX as a IS/C/A4/BMW 3 class competitor.

The RL will get a refresh next summer, maybe stronger engine e roomier. Read the article on egmcartech or motorauthority.
Remember Acura big boss told few months ago Acura will be like Aston and Mayback??
It's funny.
But the next gen. RL has to be like a LS/A8/S/bmw 7... Let's see...

I really hope that Acura can hit a home run with this new TL. But, the bar is a lot higher in the $40K 300HP world of the G and CTS, among others.
Right now, those two are my top candidates for a next car, but I'm holding off to see what kind of big guns Acura can bring out for the next round. Everyone else from Cadillac, Infinity, BMW, Mercedes and shortly Audi have shown their hands. Acura has no excuses to miss the mark.
I've been driving an Accord for better than 10 years now, so I'm hopeful for Acura.

I am also interested in how the new TL will look. The current TL has a great balance of curves and edges. I hope Acura does not move toward an extra curvy design like the new G.

HP are not what drive people to buy cars. Just look at the Germans, their heavy sellers are cars in the sub 250 HP range up to the 5series/E class. Otherwise, why not get one of these american hot rods with 350+ HP that can go 0-60mph in sub 6 range?
