Anyone got the Type-S Adv hitch cover and the replacement HFA sensor?
Part numbers are:
08L92-TYB-2A0
08L91-TYA-200B
I have been waiting for six months, I wonder if it is just universally backordered or if I need to pull certain strings to get them.

Got my type S last April. The hitch and cover was installed at time of delivery. The hands free sensor was installed last September. I rarely use it, bash my shins on the hitch a couple of times before the sensor sees my foot and opens the hatch!

Installed Hitch
With that handsfree component still on back order, I decided to radically modify the native unit to maintain that function.
The original unit is very bulky and limits hitch placement. Also, the electronic unit that the sensors plug into hampers fitment.
After many attempts at trimming the housing I was able to almost fit the hitch into place. The module that is attached with a small torx screw has to be relocated. I attached it to the passenger side aluminum support with 5 zip ties.
After achieving clearance, I was able to fit the OEM hitch. The lower sensor was routed under the hitch mount and secured on the driver’s side with a zip tie.
I hope this helps anyone trying to tackle this.
I used a tin snip and an impact driver to make this job easy. The challenge was trimming the plastic that supports the sensors.
