I'll just wait, I'm sure you'll tell us what it is in the next 3 posts.

It's the internal strap that holds the tpms sensor on some versions of tpms. But you already know that, I know.

I'm surprised no one has bought the flat bronze 530's yet. Curious how they'd look.

To keep this post thread related, I purchased 530s today from NextLevelMotoring. For anyone looking to purchase a set make sure you shop around. NextLevelMotoring did in fact price match the price difference by 10%.

if anyone's interested in a SINGLE DRILLED xxr 530 setup, 18x8.75 +20, with type s center caps, and a great 225/40 tire paired with it...i'll be selling my set soon. the tires are bridgestone re970as with LOTS of treadlife left and a transferable warranty on the tread (discount tire).

Guys an update regarding the +20 setup on a 225 tire. I recently installed camber kits for the back wheels on both sides to fix the negative camber. I am lowered to pretty much flush all around. I hate the negative camber look, but that's just me, to each their own. So I took it to firestone to get it aligned, and they dialed in the rear camber to -1.0 on both sides, and I'm now rubbing in the back over every big dip. I had to roll my rear fenders. Before I had the camber kits installed, I had 0 rubbing issues. I don't want this to detour anyone from getting the aggressive offset +20. The +20 offset with a 225 tire is a PERFECT fitment and will NOT require fender rolling as your natural camber (I'm assuming you are dropped or you shouldn't be getting these wheels) will help with clearance. However, if you are anal like me and are planning on installing camber kits, you will need to roll fenders.

I just discovered a little negative camber actually helps the rear end feel more stable and less floaty.. Toe is what wears out tires quickly. Not a little negative camber.

exact same setup i have, even down to the camber degrees in the rear haha. but i originally rolled all my fenders because i was trying to go 235/40 tires but had no success. so my fix was 225 and haven't looked back since!

my fronts are about -1.5 degrees camber

A little bit of negative camber will not wear down the tires anymore than usual, you are absolutely right. In fact a little bit of negative camber will actually help you grip the road better. But excessive negative camber will wear your tires down faster. Also before I had my camber kits installed my rear wheels were sunken in. Now they are flush and even with the fronts. Looks a lot better IMO

haha no i'm not selling it, i've just done a ton of upgrades over the years and have had stock parts laying around, but i'm doing a huge "spring" cleaning of my apt and just getting rid of stuff.

i've only been looking at switching my suspension (tein ss to tein street flex or advance) and wheel/tire setup (18x8.75 +20 w/ 225/40) because i want to make my ride a little more comfortable when my wife rides in my car

i still love my wdp and hope to have it for 7 more years at least! just hit 100k miles yesterday and took this photo:

That really looks perfect to me! Could you please share more details about your suspension set-up? What coilovers, how many inches lower are you, has your camber been corrected using adjustable arms, tire size?

Thanks in advance! Your car is beautiful man. I have the exact same color and exact same wheels. I'm trying to avoid headaches and extra money by making mistakes that could have been avoided by asking questions and searching first.

Thank you I appreciate the feedback. I'm lowered on tein street basis coilovers. Not sure how many inches I'm lowered but I am about 2/3rds the way down on my coils and a finger gap between tire and fender all around. Regarding +20 offset - My fronts are natural camber. no rubbing. My rear camber has been corrected with control arms and both are at -1.0 camber. You will need to run more camber in the rear than -1.0 though unless you are willing to roll fenders because as soon as I corrected my camber, the back tires rubbed over every big dip. I rolled my rear fenders only. This fixed the rear tires rubbing issue almost but I still rub a tiny bit every once in a while. I am about to take these wheel off for the winter and will put them on again next spring. Will probably run -1.5 camber in the rear next year for a bit more clearance. Tires are Michelin pilot sports 225/40/18.

Nice side shot.. I think most people are leaning toward +33 offset. Anyway, do you encounter any clunking noises over bumps? Like from suspension..

No clunking noises that I am aware of. Only noises I hear are slight tire rubs when I have 3 people in my back seat lol

Why would this involve the wheels? are you worried the wheel is hitting the shocks? if so, that doesn't happen with either of these offsets.

regards to offset, i've seen and heard of many more people running +20 than +33.

I don't think his offset comment and his clunking question were related. If you're slammed enough, your UCA's will make contact with the roof of the fender wells on hard bumps and the sound is horrific.

I took off my front mud guards because I had no choice as they would have scraped on everything from my car being low. However since they were on the car for 130,000 miles it left a fine outline on my clear coat of where the mud gaurds were. detail guy couldn't get it out. The backs are bad too, which is why I left them on. Trust me I would love to have them off in the back as well but it looks even worse with them off. Zoom in on my 4th picture down, and look where my front mud guards used to be. It looks awful

Looks great...definitely time for a rotor refresh though. You can't have all that rust sitting behind those pretty wheels. I'd also suggest one of those long wheel brushes to clean the barrels too...you're accumulating filth!

Sorry if this question is answered in the post somewhere. I'm looking to pick up a set of 530's for my 07 TLS. The car is completely stock and there are no plans for lowering. Will the 17x18.25 fit with no modifications? Tires will also be OEM size of 235/45-17.

What would be the best wheel and tire size for stock height?

You could probably fit 13" wide wheels under there if you're not lowering.

will this setup need spacers?

The only reason one would need spacers with these wheels is if you have brembos and you get the +33 offset

Will I have issues with rubbing if I am lowered on HR sport springs? I have a 07 type S and would like to get the 18x8.75 at 20mm offset.

You should have no issues as long as you go with the correct tire size that many have already stated above regarding the +20 Offset...

if any mods see this, is there anyway to get a summary post on the first page of this thread? myself or trav have a pretty good idea of what needs to go on it. there seems to be a lot of repeat questions here and in other threads, and it's tough to go through 63 pages of items

basically the post would be:

"if you have brembo brakes or a type s, go with the 18x8.75 +20 and 225/40/18 all around

if you have an automatic, go with 18x8.75 +33 and 235/40/18 all around (won't clear brembo brakes without a spacer)

only get the +20 if you are lowered. there will be major poke if at stock height"

With +33 offset go with a 235/40/18 tire. I'm assuming your TL is an automatic?
