Managed to pick up a staggered set for quite a deal in Cali
8.75 +33 front
9.75 +20 rear

now I know a 225 will work on my rear wheels but my question is, does anyone have experience stretching Kumho ecsta ast?? They're only $66 at Discount Tire
another big question (maybe off topic) does Discount Tire stretch tires?

discount barely put on my 225 on 8.75 tires. they will only go up to 9" wheel width with 225 tires. so you're looking at 235 tires as the smallest on that 9.75 if you go to discount tire

you need to go to some small independent shop. none of the big box stores (discount, evans, big o, etc) will do the stretch for you

Hey everyone. Been doing a lot of forum reading looking for the best fit for my 2008 TL-S.

Not too many people asking what I am trying to find out... best fit for XXR 530 on stock Type-S height. I will be keeping stock height because I cannot get into my garage if I lower. Bagging the car is beyond my budget.

So looking for the best looking size of XXR 530 to clear Brembo and have function > form for my daily.

Thoughts on the two options?

1. 19" X 8.75" +35mm all around
2. 18" X 9.75" +22mm all around

Will both these setups clear the Brembo? Will there be rub at stock height?

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

It's been discussed throughout this thread more than a handful of times, but the 8.75 +35 will not clear brembos...either 18 or 19" sets. you will need a 6-8mm spacer to clear the brembos.

regarding the 9.75 setup, you will have major major poke at stock height. you would have a lot of poke at 8.75 +20, and when going to 9.75 you add almost 13mm to that outside dimension.

if it was me in your spot, i would look for a different wheel that clears brembos without spacers (i really don't like spacers) and without too much poke. it will take time but that wheel is out there.

Damn 26 pages of reading = information overload. I love the wheels. Dislike the poking. I'm leaning towards 18x8.75 front and rear. What offset to minimize poking? For reference 2006 TL and looking to do a minor drop with Aspec Suspension. Also will camber be an issue?

XXR gurus take it from here!

too many variables...wheels don't affect camber, suspension does. if you don't need to clear bbk, go less aggressive and more narrow but know that you won't get as much concave. I'm gonna say you didn't read the 26 pages...

10.75 will never work without hella camber. A 10.75 with aspec suspension= rip fenders. And with a good drop the 8.75 +20 doesnt poke. Imo aspec suspension is too weak, it wont work with these wheels.

Here are some shots. Just got them on today. 18x8.75 +33 all around with a 5 mm spacer. Staggered 245/40 and 255/40 rear Michelin pilot sport as3's on tein street basis coilovers. Making slight adjustments/ alignment soon. Tiny rub over aggressive dips on front right, but will be rolling fenders to make eveverything even and low as possible without rubbing.

I have these wheel for around 18 months and i already had to replace 3 of them.
I live in NYC and the streets sucks. the size was 18x8.75 20 offset all around with tires 225/40. Now i went with 33 offset in 2 of them and the other 2 have a 20 offset.
My question is if it is possible to put tires 245/40/18 in the back with the wheels that have 20 offset and have no rubbing. Btw im at stock high.

Can I ask why you had to replace 3 of these wheels already? There are multiple AZ members who live in NY and NYC who have these wheels and have not had many issues. What happened?

Im curious because I live on Long Island and plan on getting these wheels in the spring. 18 x 8.75 20 0ffset

What's up everyone?
I'b brand new to the site as a member, but am familiar with it as I use it all the time for my projects. I drive an 04' TL lowered on Function and Form coils (no brembos) and I was looking at these xxrs. I, unlike many, want to run 17x8.25 with a +35 mm offset with 235/45/R17 tires. Anyone have thoughts about fitment or of I will need to roll the fenders?

Hi, so I went with 245/40 all around, 33 offset in the front with a 6 mm spacer to clear the brembos and 20 offset at the back.
I thought I would be fine with 245 all around since KUFAN121 went with 245 front and 255 back and he only mentioned a little rub in the front.

So in my case there is no rubbing in the front but there was a lot of robbing in the back.
I had to roll up the fender and everything is fine now.

The issue was that I drive my car everyday for work and the street in NYC sucks. so I went with tires 225/40 all around and the car look nice but the wheels had no protection by the edges. so many time the edge of the wheel hit the street instead of the tires. to make the story shor,t over time i had to change the wheel because the cracked. I fixed the first one but it lasted me 2 week and cracked again on a different part of the wheel. So this time around i went with wheel offset 33 instead of 20 to allow me to install wider tired and protect the edge of the wheel.

This should be very close to what stock wheels feel like since you are remaining 17 inches. On top of that your going with a thinner tire which will give you plenty of clearance in the front and back.

Ugh im so stuck and confused, either getting a pair of 530s or replica honeycombs on eBay. Maybe someone can steer me in the right direction, I plan on dropping w/coils not a major drop because I do live in new York lol but I don't want stretched tires and I definitely don't want to get some 530s that will scrape the curb whenever i Park. Someone help please!!!

So I took mine off about 3 months ago to conserve the new tires I had just put on and noticed one of my hub rings was gone. Anyone have any tips as far as keeping them in the wheel and do you guys use plastic or aluminum rings? Thanks

Plastic. I wouldn't do metal they can rust and fall apart.

I was worried about the same thing since I take my car in for rotation and balancing. When I first installed them i put a bead of silicone sealant on the perimeter of the hub ring and pressed it in. I wiped away the excess. Just a little bit will give it that extra strength to not fall out easy
