I have a 5mm spacer which gives me almost 1mm clearance away from the caliper. Lol

I'm confused lol. If you got the +20 offset and a 225/40/18 tire than you are good to go brotha! No spacers needed.

Ummm. Hmmm. I gotta call the wheel shop cause I don't know now. For sure I did need 5mm spacers or else I'm on the caliper.

Yeah than you have the +33 offset. Return them and get the +20 offset instead. +20 offset= more concave, more flushness to fender (if you are lowered, stock ride height you will have major poke), clears brembos by a mile.

Hmm I dunno. I think I remember trying the +20 and it poked out too much. It was concave but I wouldn't avoid hitting the fender. I'll take pictures when I get home to show

I'm on 18x 8.75 +20 w/ 225/40/18 tire and talk about PERFECT fitment. No rubbing. No tire hitting the fender. I don't understand why people are still getting the +33 offset and having to mess around with spacers...

If I would have purchased these wheels I would have gotten +33 because an additional +13 offset means I can run a tire with a shoulder that's 13mm wider, ie a 235 instead of a 225. But I got a 9.5 +40 with a 265 instead .

It's all I could find locally so that I could test fit the the wheel at the shop. Didno want to make the mistake of buying the wrong size.

it's really hard to find the 5 hole version. i only got my set because they were somewhat local and i was able to talk to them.

i never would have bought them if i couldn't find the 5 hole version haha.

(i sold them a while back, now i'm running a different wheel set)

Meh, doesn't bother me none is it really worth another $160-$180? Personally, I don't think so, but that's just me.

If all things were equal, I'm sure everyone would prefer the five hole version.

^ 160-180?! When I bought mine they were the same price as the universal hole version. So yea, no brainer

Yeah, I bought mine for $504 shipped (multi-drilled) from TireCrazy which was the best deal I found. On eBay the 5 hole version goes for between $668-$688 shipped - depending on whether they offer a 5% discount...and I believe they (SGmotoring) are the only vendor that sells the single drilled. Therefore, I felt the money saved could be better spent on other things, especially since it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

can you use stock lug nuts for these wheels?

^negative - you need a acorn/tapered (tuner style) style for the wheels to fit properly, not to mention the lug nut holes are smaller i believe, so it might be tight fit trying to get the stocks on anyway

when i bought my set almost 4 years ago now - they didn't offer a single bolt pattern, only the universal, but the holes never bothered me...

one of the last shots I took before I put my new setup - still love the mesh style wheels tho - might make a return to mesh for the next set up

I plan on getting these 530s but just don't know if I should do the 9.75 rear and 8.75 front. Idk why but I think the TL looks better with wide wheels from the back. I tried reading this forum from Page 1 and I'm getting the sense of NOT to do it. Mind you, my TL is bone stock. Thinking of throwing on some Tein's soon.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Get the single drilled 5x114.3 if you can. Also when you receive your 530's, promptly open them up, locate the center caps, and put them directly into the trash. The black plastic center caps make these wheels look even cheaper than they already are. Not to mention they stick out like a sore thumb, they take away from the concave, and they do not match the color of the wheel what so ever. Fail

Hey if you can get a better deal on the multi-hole version, go for it! Later on down the road, you will be able to sell them easier too. But for the love of god, do not put those cheap POS plastic center caps in them. How to make your wheels go from "Nice", to "high school rice", in a matter of seconds lol

I was planning on using the Acura center caps. I was researching on how to heat them and place them from earlier on this forum.

you could always hydro-dip the xxr caps, I never had any luck getting the Acura caps to fit well (type s or base), even heating them up...

I didn't need to heat mine at all...use those finger muscles and it'll push/click right it on.

I had to heat up my acura center caps pretty hot with a blow dryer in order to get them to fit tight enough so they would stay in. I lost my patience and used a rubber mallet on the last center cap and one of the tabs on the inside of the cap broke off. So for everyone trying this, don't be like me and try to hammer them in lol. Take your time pushing them in, and apply more heat as needed.

It's probably because I'm an old dude, and back in the day wider was always better. I like them wide in the front as well, my car wears 265's all around, and will have 275's all around next time. I just think it makes the car look more planted. Look at an M5, and all the other top luxury cars, you won't find a 235 among them.

I guess you're right...not that you're probably an old dude but I've never looked at other cars, really. Maybe other TLs and see how I can improvise on mine.

The wheel issue was solved, now for the tires. Continentals? TireRack?

What width and offset you going with?
