Me and story05 both went through hell rubbing at stock height with +20 , so I think its almost certain that you will rub with +15 without rolling fenders at bare minimum. If the 19s come in +20, I would suggest that. But, still be prepared to roll fenders...

Ok so do you guys think its better for me to go 18s or 19s? I will drop my car w coils, roll my fenders, and stretch my tires

go for 18s...those 19s are pretty aggressive, hell even the 18s are aggressive. and if you don't want to do any fender work neither may work unless you don't have brembos and can go +33

Well I don't mind fender work at all, like I said, I will drop the car on coils, roll fenders, and stretch the tires. I'm planning on 19x8.75 +15 for all 4 wheels. It will clear brembos correct?

Oh yea sorry missed the roll part, was reading quick at work

You should clear brembos easily, the +20 does

Hey guys, was hoping some of you could do me a favor and take a measurement from your XXR 530 wheel. Looking to see if there is a difference in depth from the outer lip of the rim to the face of the wheel's hub, the flat portion that the center cap sits flush with. I would like the comparison to be from same diameter and same width wheel. If you could post your rim width and offset with the measurement that would be really helpful. Main thing I am looking for is if there really is any difference in concavity between the +20 and +35 wheel or 8.75 and 9.75 width. If I could get any of you guys that have the 8.75 and 9.75 with +20 and +35 offsets to do this for me this would be really helpful for the look I am trying to achieve. Or we may find out that the distance is the same for all of them and the only difference is how much XXR is machining off the back of the hub mating surface and how deep they drill the countersink for the lugs. Thanks in advance!

^^There is noticeable difference between +20 and +35. The +20 is much more concave than the +35 and looks way more aggressive. I got the +20 because I have brembos, but also really wanted that deep concave look. +35 is kind of lame imo...

Im not sure if there is a difference between 8.75 and 9.75. Id imagine offset is the major factor.

This is why I want solid dimensions, please grab your tape measures and straight edges and get those numbers for me.

Ill try and get on that later today. But, I think this convo goes to show that the number really doesnt matter. Its in the eye of the beholder. Id advise looking for some pics in this thread of +35 vs +20.

Also, if you have Brembos, you need to go +20 or they wont clear. Not sure what you have for a set up.

I've been looking, but at different angles and brightness of light or lack there of, it's too hard to tell. From far away they look really deep and up close more shallow. This is what I have been seeing as I've been looking through all of the pictures related to this wheel. I am sure if I saw them in person it would be a totally different story. I just figured some solid numbers would support my theory of concave depth compared to offset numbers and how many castings XXR is using. Tooling is not cheap, so I am sure the offset is just driving the placement of the wheel on the hub and the overall dimensions of the face of the wheel are the same. Going from 8.75 to 9.75 is what really gets the desired "deep concave" look rather than the offset. I just want to know if my assumption is correct and then buy the wheel I feel could be modified the easiest and look the deepest.

The night and day difference is universal vs single drilled.

for +20, I got ~2.5 inches from the flat spot of the rim (right outside where it sits on the hub) to the outer lip of the rim.

Thats very strange as I can see a difference in the picture between +33 and +20. I just measured my 18x8.75 +33 and from the face of hub to face of rim I am getting 6.25 cm or almost exactly 2.5" as well.

lolol that is interesting. I guess the numbers do lie ! I agree that those pics are solid and you can definitely tell the difference between the two. Main thing that I notice is the distance from the very bottom of the 'U' shape to the hub. That and how the holes for the lugs go into webbing a little on the +20 and are only where the hub sits on the +33.

Overall, +20 is definitely more concave, but the difference is subtle...

Id like to be able to rotate my tires so Id like to go with 18x9.75 +20 all around, Im dropped on coilovers and Im not slammed (I plan on going lower in the future). Will 215's fit on 9.75's? Should I go with 225's? Anyone running 215's on a 9.75 - any problems? Any pics of the possible poke Id experience with 215's? Thanks

I would also like to know the difference between 18x8.75 and 18x9.75 +20 offset for both on an Auto 04 TL. Thanks!

18 x 8.75 +20 looks decent, its close to flush. That's what im running. If I were to do it again id do 9.75 honestly. Im bout to sell mine and get some 18x10.5's cuz mine arnt wide enough. IMO. I just rolled my fenders...even more... so now I can go wider

Yea, looks like Vlad went 9.75 with a 215 all around. I think what Im really looking for is how much or how bad it pokes... does it look retarded?

Sorry, Ive only owned domestic vehicles... my first Honda/Acura.

We'll I just pulled the trigger on a set.

Tirecrazy.com is offering a $20 instant rebate and free shipping.

http://tirecrazy.com/wheels/xxr/seri...OMIUM%20BLACK/

I just paid $492 shipped! Granted they aren't the single drilled ones but for the price I couldn't pass it up. I got the +33 and will be getting 225 tires and will most likely pair it with Tein Basis coilovers.

Can't wait!

Thats a great buy! With +33 you can fit some beefier tires on there!

I was thinking of going 235 but reading the thread and hearing some people have problems with them rubbing, I figured it'd be best to go 225. I remember seeing you went with 245 and weren't rubbing.

Actually surprised that the wheels are already shipped and should be here next week!

235 rubs on +20, not +33. I'm running +33 up front with 235/40/18 with no issues

Having the same problem with this as well. I have even tried to order them thru Discount Tire, I've been told they are on national backorder from 45-60 days. Im just going to go with the Voxx Maglia..very similar to the 530.

They actually list it as 5x100 / 5x4.5 which is the universal 5 lug. If you look up the part number in Google, it shows that it is 5x114/100.

You might want to check TireCrazy.com then. I'm actually surprised that they had them in stock and have already shipped. Never hurts to check with them and can't really beat their price right now.

Yeah, apparently no setup is the same lol. I have enough room to fit 265's on mine without rubbing, but cant justify spending the money with brand new tires on mine right now.

Enjoy them!

Recently bought a pair. I have yet to install (waiting a few things), but I will post pictures asap!

18x8.75 +33 with 5mm spacer for the front. Cleared the brembos for the type s
