THE GOOD:

I installed the front of the A-Spec suspension over the weekend and I'm very happy with the increased performance. The drop is pretty minimal, but that is what I expected.

THE BAD:

Unfortunately the nuts on the strut tower brace were torqued so hard that I actually had to cut one of them off to get it out. Even the impact wrench just wanted to strip it because of the soft compound used. It took me so long, that I only had time to do the front. Looks like it will be a couple weeks before I can get to the back and post pictures.

THE VERY BAD:

With only five days on these rims I was forced into a curb yesterday afternoon and put a 10" long curb scrape on the right rear. I've found a mobile repair company that can fix it for under $100 so I think I'm going to go ahead and have it done. It just about makes me sick to think about it. I drove home the whole way thinking 'please tell me that did not just happen.'

Same exact thing happened to me with my mustang 2 days after I bought new wheels...I almost ordered a new wheel that night, but I decided not to

I called the stealership and they said there is noway to calibrate for larger tires although they are not much bigger than stock but the mpg thing is bugging me. Any insight would be appreciated.

Has anyone noticed a real drop in gas mileage?

For me I went from a daily average of 23-24 to 20-21. With stock wheels, if I reset the trip on HWY going 70, i could get 30-31. When I did the same this weekend, I got 27. Still worth it though. I've had them on 3 months..
sounds about right for the bigger wheel size.. perhaps throwing off the speedometer a little in turn throws off the mileage counter in relation to gas spent.. maybe?

i dont have personal experience, but the demand for these tires has been insane and the ratings are really good. You'll be fine in the snow!

Unfortunately, no these TPMS sensors do not work with the TL. The RDX sensors are not compatible from what I've been reading. I've found this out the hard way as well.

Thankfully when I sold my OEM wheels last week I was able to have the buyer remove the stock sensors for me and hopefully I can find a shop to swap them out without costing me an arm and a leg.

Side note to all of you following along - I had the wheel repaired and the entire a-spec suspension kit is now installed. Once I get some time to clean up the car I'll post some pics. The drop is perfect for me, about 1.5 - 2 finger gap all the way around. IMO it is the way the car should have looked from the factory!

Assuming you don't plan on stretching your tires, unless you are stock height you cannot use spacers larger than 15mm or you WILL rub.

I've got 15mm on my rears and looks great. I can't post pics right now, but I'm pretty sure I've posted some up before. Check my profile for my past posts.

That will be hard to do with an 8" wide wheel. You need wider wheels to get tire to stretch and have the lip of the wheel poke like that out of the fender.

I hear you I just want them a lil more flush. than the way they are now. I don't need them to poke out like that but a try to get them even with the fenders.

i cannot believe how cheap these are! what is happening...

would these fit on a 2004 TL? Going from 17" to 19" would be a stretch...
