Strange no start issue

Alright everybody, just picked up a 2005 TL, 6 speed with 130k on it. Got a pretty good deal after looking for about a year. So I bring it home Friday night, park it, go back out to start it, and nothing, doesn't crank at all. Got the starter checked, ended up being fine. Alternator checked, fine. Battery was a little low, but wasn't bad, so I put it on a charge and it fired right up. All the way up until yesterday, it'd decide when it wanted to start and when it didn't, so I cleaned the negative and positive terminals on the battery, and ever since then I've had zero luck. Put it on jumper cables, and that doesn't seem to be doing the trick either. The immobilizer seems to be fine, none of the keys make a difference either. I was thinking main relay, but nothing else seems to being going wrong with it. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Try to push start it. If the car fires up the starter is toast.

I'm going to bump this unresolved issue thread instead of creating a new one.

Occasionally, maybe 1 out of 10 times, when I go to start the car I turn the key and everything shuts down. Like the battery is completely dead. The car unlocked, all the lights worked, accessory worked, but I turn the key and nothing. So I pop the hood, disconnect the battery for a second, reconnect, get in the car and it starts right up.

I've found that it's less prone to do this if I turn the key while the gas gauge is "going up". If that makes sense. If I turn on accessory and let everything "load up" it happens 1 time out of 5...or 4.
