ABS module replacement

Hi,
I'm new in the community, i own a 2007 tl type s, and the abs module is broken, so the speedometer stopped working, and abs, brake, and vsa lights are On, i just purchased an abs module but is from a 2005 tl, i just want to know if can do that change, if are compatible, both are identical but i just want to make sure if it will work??? The vsa modulators are not interchangeable.

You should clear the VSA DTC and see if the dash lights come back on if you haven't done so.

The inop speedo probably has nothing to do with the VSA. You should look elsewhere like the Countershaft sensor.

Did you check the fuse for the VSA module? (Fuse 18 under-dash fuse box)
What you are describing sounds like there could be a communication problem on the CAN bus. Do the tach and temp gauges work properly? TPMS?

Also, try unplugging the module connector and plugging it back in. Make sure the orange latch is properly seated and the connector is all the way in.

I think the 05' module has different size brake line fittings.

I had the ABS, VSA and CEL light come on once.... turns out it was a rat in my car that chewed through the main wire harness in 4 different places
