P145C after Purge Valve Change.
Hey everybody i posted a thread earlier this week regarding my "tighten fuel cap" and with a good amount of research i decided to replace the purge valve. I got the part from ebay it was a denso Japan OEM part. I installed it double checked everything put it back together and boom P145C for the first time ever on the car.
I thought maybe my fuel cap was actually bad, swapped that out and boom here comes tighten fuel cap message again but this time with P145C.
What should I do now? Could it be that my purge valve is defective?

So now I'm waiting on a replacement from the vendor. If that doesn't work he's going to do a full refund and then I'll spend the extra bucks for a rock auto part I guess.

Hopefully it works. I did see this thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...-steps-970176/
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
The second post in that thread also added a second part of an EVAP canister as a potential cause. If the purge valve replacement doesn't work a a second time, then you may want to keep digging up some of these old threads via google.

Have you considered just going to your local Honda dealer and buying the part? Quite often the pricing isn't that different once you factor in shipping and the amount of time spent with the online back and forth. Or even ordering one from one of the Acura/Honda dealers that are mentioned on here? This appears to be a standard Honda part and not an Acura specific one, so shouldn't be an issue looking at the Honda dealers. That is where I usually pick up my engine and cabin air filters as well as wiper blades since it is drastically cheaper than via the Acura dealers. I have been able to pick up other random parts there as well like the PCV valve and the radiator overflow tank parts.

Get your logic out of here you ass
It takes learning the hard way a few times to understand that sometimes, you get what you pay for.

You have the part number...just take them that. My local Honda dealer doesn't really want to hear that I have an Acura and won't cross reference for me. But as long as I just provide the part number, they will happily sell it to me as long as it is a standard shared Honda part and not a specific Acura part. I keep a spreadsheet of the part numbers I use from various years Accords so I have those numbers handy....like my wipers and filters.
