Do you have an aftermarket light/LED in there? If so, it's probably going out or it's not secure in it's socket.

If it's an OE bulb (or OE style bulb), it's probably not secure in it's socket or it's going bad.

just find out that the flickering trunk light triggers the car alarm. can a bad bulb cause that?

Switch the bulb with one of the interior bulbs and see if it still does it. I think they're different wattage but it should work.

My guess, the connector.

check ur trunk switch....it is the switch which tells "trunk is open" hence the light comes on.....

if ur bulb is properly in the slot like it should be then i would blame it on the trunk switch....

Are you talking the trunk release push button under the dashboard?

^^^ no the one in the trunk....lemme try to get a pic of it tomorrow....

its like your door switch, basically tells if your trunk is open or close....another way to check if the switch is going bad is:

if your inside your car, does the "trunk open" indicator go on randomly ?

the light flicker when the trunk is open, especially if i swing the trunk lid up and down. i am guessing is the bad wires, but i don't think the trunk light wire is attached the trunk lid thou. what do you think?
