My wife tried to jump the truck and crossed the cables. The truck had zero power after that. Thanks to this web site, I was able to locate the problem. I replaced a fuse and the car started rite up. Unfortunately a few things don’t work now. Power locks, radio, nevagation system, power seats. Dome lights come on after the car starts but not before. What could be the cause of this.

 

Blown fuses, destroyed computers...lots of things. I would start with the simple stuff like checking/testing every fuse.

 

I flinched when I read that! After the fuses, you will probably have to reprogram the keys and settings. Did you try the 35-second reset routine?

 

The key operates the car and the car will start. But no power to the radio, power locks, navigation system and lift gate.

 

What car?

 

Lift gate? Is this a TL or a *DX?

Probably could look to see if there's a common fuse for all those items.

 

 

Did you check the underhood BIG fuses?

Yes. I replaced a fuse after my wife attempted to jump start the car. The cables were grossed and lost all power. I replaced the fuse in the box under the hood. The car starts and runs but the power locks, radio, nevegation system and the lift gate do not work now.

 

check the rest of the fuses and hope to gawd it's another one. if it's not, you need to replace the MICU

 

What is the MICU

 

I replaced the 10A radio fuse in the fuse box on the driver side. Now everything that wasn't working, works now except the radio and nevagation system. The power locks, lift gate and interior lights all work now.
