My wife has a 2012 TL roughly 120k. This morning my wife was getting ready to leave and she noticed all kinds of notifications on the dash, "Check ABS" "Check AVS" "Check Power Steering". Note the car had been running for 10-15 minutes warming up, (60 degrees outside). Anyways she tells me those keep flashing on her dash, so I get in and see it, I then decided to turn the car off. Once turning the car off it would not turn back on, at all. Being in a rush I took her to work myself. This evening I got home and decided to try and jump the car figuring it was a battery issue. After a charge I got the car to start, once the car was on it then began running all those check note on the dash, the lights were flickering as well. I then put the car into reverse and it wouldn't go, I put it back to neutral and then back to reverse, it would not go into gear. The car kept wanting to die so I gave it a touch of gas and it shifted hard into reverse, I then put the car in park and turned it off out of fear. Does this car just need a new battery or does this sound like something more severe? Any suggestions or advice is appreciated. Note the battery is pretty old and appears to be a bit corroded.

 

Sounds like it needs a new battery to me. Car symptoms for battery replacement are strange and different for most.
Try new one first then see if symptoms come back.

 

New battery and if that doesn't fix it then move on to alternator
