What's up everyone?!

Been thinking about adding a keyless entry/push to start option to bring it up to date with current tech. I have a 08 Base

I've searched threads here, butbhavent found a write up or recommendation on a decent system. I've seen random ones on Amazon with mixed reviews, but just not sure.

Has anyone had any success with aftermarket kits that gets you keyless entry? Or has an Azine link to a write up handy? Thanks in advance.

 

the easiest route would be to sell the TL and get an actual car that comes with that feature

wiring would be a nightmare... how would you bypass the immobilizer chip in the key... how would you convert your chip to act as a proximity sensor
the aftermarket kits most likely will still require you to insert your key into the ignition and then drill a hole in your dash somewhere to install the push button start.. so basically you would be adding an extra step to start your car...
1. insert key into ignition
2. turn to the on position
3. press push button start to start car

if you already searched this forum and didn't find a SINGLE successful push button conversion on a 3rd gen TL this late into the game, there's usually a reason why

 

It's possible I installed one on a 05 TL

 

For enough money, anything is possible. Is it possible to do for less than the market value of your 2005 TL? Doubtful.
