Dash light showing word 'No' only?

Gor a 08' tl, I tried searching for this issue before posting but nothing mayne because no is a common word used for a million things lol
Thank you for any advice.

my son made account here to, use name dirty deeds because the engine caught on fire andyhe says its a dirty deed to keep the car lol, but turns out original motor was fine and is now back up running again just a bunch of plastic melted only other problem so far is that i need to pump brake pedal a bunch for it to work each start. So where odo should show only has word 'No' there, and also yellow light that reads dlr if i remember correctly.
I will post a picture if anyone wants to see dash.

sounds like a brake line may be bad or the master/slave cylinder. Check those out ASAP before brake fluid drips onto the exhaust and starts another fire.

DRL = daytime running lights; odo screen is multifunction and displays messages.

Sorry for duplicateppost. thought i successfully attached a couple of pictures previously but just found out that cookies acknowledgement was in front of the upload button lol. , didn't see an option to edit post,
Thanks a ton for the replys guys, took me a while to get the picture because car is at the shop still fixing stuff. Ok the lights notification is cool because headlights are melted and getting replaced. Definitely going to fix the brake issue, i actually bought a 2007 parts car for this at an auction, well second one even because i didn't know 06 and 07 are not compatible with some parts, the first one was a 06

. Wire harness, engine, tranny and who knows whay else.

IDK. It's unfortunate but funny as hell. I hope you figure it out, but I don't know what in the computer system would prompt that message.

They say so much about Japanese attention to detail, and yet they didn't even center the "No" properly hah.

Guess gauge cluster must be not happy for some reason. Perhaps it can't communicate with other modules. If you have bi directional scan tool, try to talk with it. Did it came from another car? Or did you replace anything else, like micu, ecu, etc.?

Try using self diag. You are mostly interested in communication line check.

Ya, funyy for sure, no not centered lol Ok i will try to communicate with it, i got all the cpu stuff to change out if necessary still in the parts car. I will try to push the dash cluster buttons to see if scrolling through is working, i would assume 'No' lol

No worries now m8👍

Was driving for the first time in a while for smog and after a few miles the car started to hesitate a lot and a bunch of lights on the dash turned on even air bag lol , i thought it was the tranny slipping because of the way it wasn't shifting into second and then would shift hard although when i let off the gas completely all the lights on the interior would dim and begin to fade completely and car almost turned off, so i thought maybe the battery cables even though the battery had been sitting for over a year thought the alternator would bypass that for some reason , anyways a bit of wiggle on the cable partially fixed that, still happened though. So i sanded the inside of the part that clamps around the positive thing on the battery because cables looked fine, and what do ya think about this. Then the infamous 'no' is gone and can see everything normal again! funny because i was on my way to the original mechanic to have that looked into, not no mo lol

That's typical when there is a voltage spike or drop. A dead battery can kill even a new alternator as they are meant to top off battery and not fully charge. Add some distilled water to your battery too.
