Battery issues?

Hello,

I can't remember the last time I even visited this forum because this car has been absolutely trouble free - but i have a problem now. 2008 TL, about 65k miles. I went out to start it this morning, and it simply won't start. There is a high frequency repetitive clicking when I turn the key, the interior lights, etc. light up, but no start. I hooked it up to a battery charger for the last two hours and still nothing. I noticed that the clock is showing the wrong time by a few hours, and the nav screen flickers and won't quite come on when I put it in accessory key mode. Is this something worse than a battery problem? There is a little corrosion on the red terminal, so I'll clean that off. Ironically I have an appointment in the morning for oil change, etc., if only I could get it to the dealer. The original battery was replaced under warranty at 30k miles without me even asking for it - dealer said it wasn't holding a charge to the appropriate level. To add to this, it's stuck in my garage, and when I tried putting it in neutral to roll it out, me and two friends couldn't even budge it. What's up with this?

it seems like a battery issue.
our cars have a lot of electrical components that may or may not draw from the car when it is off.

there are reports of the HFL being the cause of a parasitic draw.
Just a FYI.

I would check the battery's voltage, if you have a voltmeter.
or you can take the battery to Autozone for a free test.

^^^ tulsa i agree with Justn on all counts....

i went with the same thing with my battery....

couple things here:
Acura has a 100 month (8year 4 month) warranty on the battery (it states it on the battery)...take it in and get it replaced for free....

I was using a jumper cable to jump my car and the cable was messed up and hence i kept thinking its my started which is messed up....but no, try a different cable...

once your car is fired up, take it straight to Autozone/Advance Auto Parts to get the full electrical system checked out....now if the alternator is not charging the battery, you dont need to replace the battery....ya know what i mean

finally the way i order batteries at Advance Auto Parts is....
1> go to Advance Auto Parts store and get your system checked
2> if you need a new battery, go to their website and add the battery you like to the cart
3> use the coupon code BATX to save 25%
4> select pick up in store option and put the zip code and select the store you are in
5> check out

the store doesnt do coupon codes, so you have to do it online....

we get the Autocraft Gold battery from Advance Auto Parts and paid like $80 with taxes....installed and the old battery recycled
