Vanity light upgrade

changed my vanity lights to 6 high power LEDs and figured Id post the pics. It hasnt been -that- much harder to take the vanity lights off, now that I think i loosened the clear cover enough after all those times where I couldnt get the darn thing off.

here is the LED replacement unit Im using for the vanity:

and some actual unadjusted pics:

I was thinking of fitting a 24-LED version of these bigger LEDs for my four domes, but they dont fit. So I put them on my brother's Evo X.

Here is a comparo between the 15-LED unit I bought for $45 from Super Autobacs and the 24-LED unit (it has bigger LEDs than the four 24-LED units I currently have in my domes). notice the puny yellow LED modules on the 15-LED one, versus the bigger LED modules on the 24-LED.

and a pic where I did an actual comparison of a filament, the 15-LED and the 24 LED in the Evo:

does someone have extra sunblock?

Bright! eh I don't know how to take off the vanity light cover. It seems like I'm going to rip the headliner off. I gave up trying. You and your interior led fetish.

Looks really good. Those LEDs look like they're from Lumimicro.

i hate the vanity lights, but like i said, i think ive bent the plastic already to the point it just comes off easy now. must be after all those years of trying and cramming it with a big flathead screwdriver

Ok so there is like headliner | metal sheet | plastic do I put the screwdriver in between the metal sheet and plastic?

I assume so right I did this and the metal sheet just starts bending. I am using what I think would be the perfect tool it is like a miniature crowbar that is like 5 inches long.

I dunno goin back out to mess with it some more. These things are a real PITA.

How did you mount the panel in the fixture? I'm going to put a 30-led panel in my trunk an I would think the mounting would be similar. Thanks!
