rockstar143's '04 NBP progress thread (part deux continues after 6 year hiatus)
Cruisin'
Your 3G is uber clean!!! I don't think I've ever seen you around before. I live in Miramar and work in Miami. I just bought my TL when I moved to Florida two and a half years ago so I'm still not too familiar with the local owners. Maybe I can check it out someday. Keep up what you're doing man!
Thanks, man!
I actually used to live off I75 and Pines...surprised we haven't seen each other already!
Although I did move about 2 years ago...so that might be why.
I need to set up another meet soon.

This thread is making we miss my 3G a lot.

November-December 2013 we moved to the rental house, rented for 11 months...then have been in our current one for one year as of next week.
Thanks, man...I'd like to know why you miss it when you have a badazz M5 AND comfy MDX!

The TL is more laid back, very forgiving, and down for whatever. And does them well. Just treat her right and respect her and she takes care of you. The 3G is just one of those cars that has great styling and ages well. Fince wine.

Thank you Steven! Very very grateful...I still have moments where I have to pinch myself. I love this house.

Always in Florida, dude. Got quite a few friends in Fort Lauderdale. And fam in Miami. Usually chill by Pine Island and Sunrise area. Love those wings/food from Bokampers!!
Would love to live there, but Texas is where the heart is until the kids grow up. If I were single though, definitely would find a nice crib in the Aventura area. Maybe one day.
Hit you up on the next vacay.
SoFlo is one the coolest places. Real chill and always something to do. Plus, Acuras are real popular there. Your's still top most, though.

Damn...I'm very near bokampers...either of them.
For sure, man...Ill try and set up a meet next time you're around! Be cool to meet, prepare to be disappointed by my car in person though...although I appreciate the sentiment!

Bird is the Word
Everything about your car flows so well together! It's hard to ask for much more out of a DD... except for a little whine under the hood

Thanks boys...

Nobody noticed I switched back to my original roof spoiler either! The HIC sank down in the middle again. They're working on a newer, more robust version but in the meantime, I like the simplicity of the one I had on. Matches the trunk spoiler flare pretty well too.

Yes sir Chip...it keeps it from getting stale. Dennis kinda propelled me to research opti-coat...order 20CC last night. Let's see...if I get good at applying that, that could be a revolution for being able to enjoy nice paint 10 years from now!

Betty wasn't pleased because we ran to the grocery store and she didn't have her phone...so she was like HURRY THE FUCK UP...then it started raining and it was over after 5 shots.

J, from my Detailing friends, they said Opti-coat is best for new paint.
but maybe someone knows better than me.
but maybe someone knows better than me.

It's best because it seals in the imperfections...but I'm past the point of being willing to go at my clear coat any more than I already have so at this point, it's more important to me to protect what I still got, than to try and remove swirls and then protect what I still got (that's what they recommend if this is done on NOT new paint).

It's basically a chemical "clear coat" to protect your clear coat...but for a car that spends some time in the Florida sun, that isn't a bad idea.

Nice pics as always bruh...
thats interesting! Let me know how you like that opti coat business. it'll be hard to see with pics. My fresh paint is still SOOOO soft right now, like if I just touch it with the softest mit I'm still getting swirls. I can't wait till this bitch is hardened up and I can give it a nice buff and finally wax this damn thing lol

How is it that your paint is 4 years older than mine and lived in florida practically a foot from the sun and still looks better!?!?!?!
Beautiful shots, J. This one by far is my favorite. Black wetness, aspec wheels, that beautiful spoiler...wow!
