Fantastic color J! I liked the orange, but you know how much I love teal

Well DAMN, thanks, man...I appreciate that sincerely.
Thanks, man...well, I'm glad you liked it. Honestly, it's just my perspective...I also understand that I have some knowledge, a bunch of tools and a garage so it's easy for me to say. I'm sure for some, having someone do it right the first time and just paying for it works too.
Good thing with the aspec and fogs...is that they're not going to leave you stranded. Meaning, if you run out of light or time or whatever, you can put the car back together and drive (rather than taking an engine apart or something). Either way, good luck, man!
I drew it for you, Tyler!
Thanks, man...you know it, man...I thought the orange was very well done but the teal/turquoise hues match the pearl blue in the paint so much better. I couldn't help but feel like I was looking like a Nissan 350Z brembo copper/gold caliper biter either...I liked it a lot, but never loved it.
That's a lot of wisdom packed into those couple of paragraphs and I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to give advice, and I think you're absolutely right. I would much rather learn "the hard way" than have someone else make my mistakes for me as you said. Hopefully I'll be able to get started on something before the weather turns too cold here (I'm in an apartment and don't have a garage) but if not I'll have plenty of time to research and learn before next spring. I'll definitely keep you posted though!
Love the inspirational pics, she looks amazing as always!

The brakes look great, Jeremy! It is one of the cleanest 3G's around. Everything is so tasteful and not overdone.
He didn't draw it on there. I stopped by and gave his car a mushroom stamp

Why thank you, Kocyk! I appreciate it, man!
no big deal...same old shit, more pictures because I enjoy documenting new changes.
Car has the coat of wolfgang...I'll end up doing the Collinite too, but figured I'd let the Wolfgang wear off a bit since I was busy working on the S2000.

Thanks, man...except that theme is gone again. I got inspired by the old pictures of my car with the orange/amber...and then I immediately missed the old teal/clear theme. So it's back, with a little color twist.
Funny you mention that about the 845 collinite...I work for the power company and when I realized it was "insulator" wax...I realized it's probably what I see the union dudes waxing their booms with. Didn't know it was common knowledge!

I make that joke in the yard all the time...

I definitely appreciate that sentiment...
I know it seems overkill with the pictures, but the truth is...whenever I get bored of the car...I wash and wax it, or do maintenance on it...and then take new pictures in hopes that I'll assuage the desire to be a dumbass and sell and move on.
Anyway, again, thank you and have a great weekend.

the teal looks great but man I'm feeling the burnt orange a lot.. I've always loved the orange front side markers. if you had stock red rear markers on that setup it would look amazing

I did that for a while...including the red rears.
Never loved the orange, so I literally don't miss it one bit!
At least you found your next color!

I dont think I could pull off the orange. Id have to get new headlights done etc... Although I have been thinking of going with a 3k foglight and putting the yellow film on the lens with a yellow LED DRL. But then ill have too many colours going on i think lol

Damn, man...
funny story is I should have been in a 99 green pearlish gray TL (stepdad's previous lease) but I wasn't in a financial position to buy it. Then, when I helped him pick this 3G...I made sure all my ducks were in a row to jump on it when the lease ended 5 years (and only 34K miles) later.
TEAL!

Yes sir...the rears are covers, the front are really brembo bbk (I'm assuming you knew this?).
Thanks, man...yeah, in person, the clear lenses are in a little better shape, and the turquoise just POPS right off the car. Love it.

if he's refering to the picture he quoted, and there's no rear caliper in view, i think he's talking about the fronts
That's why I explained...I kinda thought that, but then assumed he likely knew that the old TL's with MT had Bimbo brakes.

i'm debating selling my car come spring, and getting a GS350 AWD(would be nice to have the AWD and newer tech).
I also seriously consider dumping a bunch of $ into the TL and getting it where i want it(A-spec, coils, wheels)...
it only has 69K miles on it, and i just put new brakes on it today(c-max)...it's the little things that make you want to just keep improving and keep it.
i guess i'll make my final decision, come spring...
keep the pics coming! teal/burnt orange/pink... it all would look hot

Yes sir...
thanks Jeff, Steven...
Funny you mentioned that, if I were to redo them again, I'd either do military green, or pink. Although it'll be a long while before I'm bored again.
Keep the TL...adding a huge car payment is a no no!
I've had an annoying squeak coming from the rear suspension...couldn't figure it out, then it dawned on me that the top had rubber bushing is old and the fronts don't have that...so I decided to shin-etsu grease it and it worked! Dead silent now!
Jacking the car up and removing the wheels gave me enough play to reach up and pull the rubber out of place to apply and spin it while on the car.
I also ran into a puddle on the garage floor...looked too clean to be oil. PS fluid from the hose to the rack.
It had started leaking long ago, but I tightened the clamp and it was fine for a while.
as soon as tightened it back down, I could see the weeping from around the clamp wires...I knew that my additional clamp wouldn't stop the leak, so I decided to push the hose further onto the fitting and then swapped to 2 clamps that didn't put so much pressure on 2 thin areas. Hoping it holds because it looks to be a BIATCH to change out that hose.
Final repair looked like this

Nice job keeping up with the maintenance. The little things like these often go neglected and turn into a bigger problem down the road. Now lets see updates on your other thread.
