Okay, so here's my update...ended up ditching the trunk spoiler...getting holes filled and Betty got me a CSL spoiler for my birthday. Couldn't be happier...

Okay, in addition to getting the grill redone, the fog bezels/rings color matched...I had some interior pieces painted NBP. A BIG shout goes to Wacker for his hard work and attention to detail...and to Aaron/Sharksbreath for unselfishly helping out with the Acura "A" decal for the gauge bezel. I appreciate the hard work...

How's it feel to not be able to switch spoilers out every other week?

No. That is his stock bezel. I painted it NBP, added the silver rings, and the silver Acura logos using some vinyl graphics sharksbeeath cut for me as stencils. I also painted his A/C vents, center console trim, and reshot his grille.

As usual Jeremy. Beautiful car I was honored to contribute to the project

CSL spoiler looks awesome on your car j, big improvement over the tall spoiler I think. Not that I didn't like the tall one, but your car called for something more

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...EXCEPT in this case. No spoiler looks too plain, the trunk spoiler (now that it's gone I can be honest with myself!) was too bulky and never allowed to the rear of the car to look low and sleek. The only of the lip spoilers that I dig is the type s one, but oem is too costly and then I'd look like every other type s out there...which I'm vehemently trying to avoid. The base lip and all the ebay lips I saw were still going to be 100 bucks and honestly...they reminded me of the bmw style lip spoiler I bought off ebay and slapped on my 97 accord...which looked cheesy.

Anyway, maybe the new angles of the spoiler will change your mind.

Hey, think about all the fkn time I'm going to get back! And PS, you are NOT lying dude...that CSL is on there permanently...I tried to take it off to have some waves in the fiberglass worked on...NOPE, gonna have to do it on the car! Thanks BTW.

Thanks Wacker, honestly...with all the hard work you put in and the little details and surprising me with some stuff...I'm just really happy that you're happy with how it turned out. I love everything.

Dennis, thank you very much, I do agree...it's funny sometimes you let the details get away with you and let things go (example: broken fog glass and scratched up bezels) and when you take some time to revisit and fix it really gives the car such a facelift.

I agree, I'm telling you, before I'd try and convince myself mainly, and everyone else that the trunk spoiler was where it was at. As soon as I spent the cash to plug the holes and get rid of it, the very next day I saw another TL with one and was like
Sucks to be a hypocrite!

J.

Here are the side shots that Tyler alluded to last week that I had deleted from Flickr. I took them with the silver grill, missing interior pieces, missing fogs and aspecs on so I didn't feel like sharing the incomplete.

I gave you a shout out in that last post for trying to ruin my life.

Thanks, buddy...big compliment coming from such a picky car lover.

I saw what you said bruh bruh. I knew those wouldn't be the final pictures but I had no idea you had the other stuff going on as well! Excellent choices sir.

And you're right, I'm picky as fawk, but I wouldn't change a thing about your car. I hope to see it sometime this year.

I saw what you said bruh bruh. I knew those wouldn't be the final pictures but I had no idea you had the other stuff going on as well! Excellent choices sir.

And you're right, I'm picky as fawk, but I wouldn't change a thing about your car. I hope to see it sometime this year.
Muchisimas gracias, amigo! Not change a thing, huh? Jeez...that's awesome. PS...so you thought I was just holding out on sharing to be a prick!?!? The resident picture whore just fighting the urge!? LMAO...never, bro. I love sharing my pictures, ideas and jokes. Always.

That interior is just marvelous dammit..
Spoiler.. I thought you were doing custom wing, not a lip
but meh.. everything looks good your TL

Well done sir
Thank you Meko...I feel kinda badly to be honest with you, man...I felt like were kinda spoiler blood brothers...you'd defend me, and I'd defend you when people talked shit about em. You might have to get a CSL so we can continue the bond. In my mind, it is KINDA custom cause there aren't many of them, and they're hard to find. Not a 1 of a kind but it really does what I wanted...which was accentuate the lines of the car, without looking like it added any bulk to it.

Thanks, man. Honestly, I've already had a couple of type s buddies that are considering trying to figure out a swap. They could sell their type s spoilers and pay for the CSL and part of the paint for it too.

I truly did like your big wing.

But the CSL lip is awesome. I love how it flows with the lip on the quarter panels above the taillights. And the bezel looks fantastic. Great seeing things that don't usually get attention see some TLC and modding.

Now dem exhaust tips...

The CSL lip looks great on your car, J! Much better than the raised deck spoiler.

Ha! I blame the type s tips for the hate on mine! Honestly, I see SO many other quad tipped cars out there that are either the same size or smaller than mine...but in comparison I do realize that the reason mine look small is because the type s one is fkn huge. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do wish they looked bigger but any bigger and they wouldn't fit in that opening anymore!

Anyway, thank you...I agree...nice to mod some stuff that doesn't get love normally. It started with the 2 side sill garnishes...then little by little Wacker and I discussed and eventually decided on all the other pieces to support it. Super happy with it.

Thank you! Ironic, with the trunk spoiler I had mostly hate on it...then I get rid of it and a bunch of people are like, "I liked the other spoiler better". Can't make ALL the people happy ALL the time, huh? Either way, I love how it flows with the trunk lines and follows the visors etc...I was just looking at page 1 of this thread and man I really don't like the trunk spoiler from most of the angles...especially when I was offroading.

Thank you John John.

a little messing with this picture, I feel it gives a good depiction of that flow we're talking about.

It's probably just my imagination, but your car looks lower with the new lip. I think it's because the trunk looks bigger and the ground clearance looks smaller. I agree with John, your photo work is stellar
