All my knobs...dang, interior is dirty! Did manual mode, and figured out more light as I went on...

I certainly did!
Thanks Sean...I'm probably going to just stick with the weighted mishimoto...after rockin the monsterknob yesterday and the oem one this morning, I thoroughly miss the feel of the weight and feel of the taller one. The mishimoto is either 300 or 400 grams so it's plenty heavy!
...with as much as I fart, one would certainly think so!
...but, so boring!
Steven, you DID see my whole DIY pictures of doing those tails, right?!?! I love how they turned out...the're type s tails, removed frost diffuser, npb bezel and cf wrap on the lower reflector.
PS...rain for the last week, not ONE ounce of condensation.
Thanks fellas!
Short and stubby, indeed fellas!
LOL...yeah, I actually rediscovered Juvenile in the last couple of years. I wasn't a huge fan before.
Morgan, that's rude, you know dang well his Mom used to play this music to get him to breasst feed!

Yeah, the oem one is very nice...but it feels SUPER bulky and it isn't really weighted. Now that I've swapped out from the Mishimoto, TBH, I immediately miss it. The feel of it, and the extra leverage it gives to confidently put it into gear is awesome.

Austin, you know it.
Tyler...thanks buddy! Yeah, that's the one I love, to be honest. I did figure out how to mod the oem shifter and also the inside of the shifter boot to allow to raise up the shift point for a more confident shift feeling when paired with the short shift kit.
I did this portion last time I removed center console...I cut all the little plastic pieces inside the boot. The boot is getting there anyway.
I used 2 thick tie wraps on the shifter base shaft (o yeah...) and a hose washer to pull up and down to keep the shift boot where I want it.
Then, I finally figured out adding this nut to stop the shifter at whatever height I like.
This allowed me to run the monser knobs shifter about an inch higher up which felt better for shifting. I think I'll still end up running the mishimoto that Tyler copied over though. I love that shifter.

...my thread BETTER not get closed. I've managed to maintain somewhat on topic, but I have been treading lightly.
Can you believe the oem shifter has a plastic threaded insert? I cut off the additional bottom clip piece and am solely relying on the tiewraps to hold it up...finally gave the oem, raised about an inch, a shot. We'll see...so far, the monster knobs feels ok, and the mishimoto weighted feels best (seems to be same weight as the blox, although if I decide to get another knob, I'll go that route, Sean, thanks for the suggestion).
OEM bottom, useless to me since it was broken anyway and I had trimmed out the boot holder area
dremel'd it off
and here is the oem, sitting higher

Want to know something pretty funny? I always thought a short shifter meant that the shifter should sit lower. Didn't realize it had to do with the throws...
But now that I have the short throw kit in for the last 2 years, I realize that the lack of extra leverage is really annoying. With the SS kit the gears are very precise and click into place...so if you don't have leverage, it takes more effort to get them in confidently every time, especially for spirited driving.
OEM knob feels pretty good at this height, actually. I may give the BLOX a shot.
J.

LOL...thanks Anil. Look on the bright side though...I just realized that this car was not ergonomically designed to be a stick. They built it for an auto...look where they put the cupholders in relation to the shifter! SO ANNOYING when you have your big tall plastic coffee mug every morning!
On another note, I've come full circle. Went out to the parking lot just now, and used channel locks to screw the plastic adapter way the heck down on the heavy weight mishimoto shift knob. It is the one that feels the best and shifts most confidently. I am super happy with it again. high enough to shift by grabbing it from the side, and low enough to shift by having my hand on top when coffee is in the car.
and think I'm close enough to the parking stop?

I did that shit at Sweet Tomatoes earlier. I got out and was like, "Oh, I guess there's no parking stump here. Wait..." I was over it.
