hahaha!

I'm really hoping I can find the time to do them this weekend, but with mothers day and everything coming up it might be tight.

I opened the boxes before I left the house today...

Woh, yet another thread i have not payed attention to.....one day its a green TL and next time i look its a hot NBP.

Not sure but i think i saw a pic somewhere around there that the exhaust tips might have looked a little sunken in.

Anyways those wheels look great. I wonder what it would take to be able to run those concave rears all around? I would love those concave all around and machine finish for my NBP.

Nice work!!

Hahaha

Well I finished installing the headlights Saturday and didn't get a chance to do the tails yet. But here are a couple of quick installed pic of the headlights. I'm ecstatic.

Tails will be installed this week when I pick up new gaskets.

I'm very near completion of all the major mods I want to do!

For the headlights, JNC did the usual full polish and UV protection as usual. Painted all internals matte black to contrast with the gloss black NBP body. Went with CF over the amber and went with ZKW-R lenses. The cutoff at night is AMAZING. I really am very happy with them! 6k headlight bulbs and 92 LED switchbacks.

Also I decided to go with the USR real CF inserts for the front bumper and grill, as well as for the rear trunklid. I guess my theme is CF, black, and gunmetal on the outside now.

You probably don't know this, but domed decalz actually makes a decal to go in the Acura logo on the front bumper.

Too soon? Too soon?!?

LMAO...
Looks great, Quan...seriously, your car is coming together at record speeds and it's making me slightly uncomfortable. For the love of everything holy, throw some fender grills on there or some neon underlighting...mabye Honda Racing Japanese symbols on the back window...

As for the decals, I have a Domed one but I decided to go with these instead

Maybe I'll list it in the BM since I don't need it any more

Hahaha thanks. I get a lot of compliments on it when people understand

It's short for khatarnak which basically means "dangerous" in a bunch of different languages including Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Urdu, Hindi, and I think more but I may be mistaken lol

The USR inserts. Well. The bumper ones fit pretty well; I just added some 3m emblem adhesive on the back to be safe.

The rear emblem inserts fit really well also; just peel back and stick.

Now the front emblem inserts were a bit more difficult. USR sends acrylic spacers with 3m tape that allow the CF to sit flush with the Acura "A" if that make sense.

When I installed the acryllic spacers and put the cf on, it was terrible. They actually stuck out past te emblem and didn't fit properly at all. I wish I had pics. I decided to remove some of the acrylic spacers and it came out pretty close to perfect in the end, they are about 1/2" sunken beind the emblem and that was exactly what I wanted.

Ill get a pic of the current fitment of the front emblem for ya

Here are a couple night pics of the RL door handle mod I finally got around to the other day. I had done this on the DGP TL as well but with 5mm blue LEDs. I loved it but it was a little too bright at night. This time I went with 3mm red LEDs to match the rest of the red lighting inside. Love it!

I only did the front two doors for now but I will get around to the rears soon enough. Also put in the KP Technologies window roll up module and put new moleskin on the front two windows.

Sorry for the shitty pics; iPhone status still.

Dude, your modding is moving VERY quickly.
I thought your plate said Cracker Jack!

I used to know a few choice words in Farsi, my Mom dated an Iranian for 10 years...but they don't translate well into written words since I don't know how to write sanscrit!

I've seen your tails...awwww shietttt...I should post a picture!

Looking awesome Quan, can't wait to see some proper pictures!

I like the CF inlay on the A in the grill, and I love the door handle LEDs, very classy. How involved of a project is that?

I also like your door handle led! I might do this as well while my door panels are off. Where did you get leds from, if you don't mind me asking?

I usually order from oznium for individual leds and resistors...a little heatshrink etc...pretty easy mod. I just don't want to add more wiring in my car for now, but it does look cool.

Let's do some photo shoot one day! I'll hit you up when my car is ready!!!

The LED project aka "RL door handle mod" as DeathMetal called it was actually pretty easy. There is a DIY for each door in the 3G garage which is what I used I do mine the first time. Other than that you basically just still a hole and put the led through it. Then hot glue from behind and do the wiring. Basically black to ground (which is also black) on the wiring harness that plugs into the window switch in the armrest. Then the red wire goes to the thin green wire with white strip that has a double band of silver.

That goes for the front two at least. Ill take pics of the rear two doors as IIRC the positive wire you need to splice into is a different color back there.

It's really an awesome mod, and anthracitecl let me know if you need a hand or something; I'd love to stop by and see your BMW door handle led mod too!

Yes sir!! They're super cheap on that site for the prewired LEDs. You can also get led holders so basically you still the hole, put the holder in, and the holder will HOLD the led for a cleaner look.

As promised here are the close up pics of all the CF I got from USR.

Now that I look at it again, it's less than 1/2" sunken in:
