Thanks guys

Snapped this quick pics at night. Let me know what you guys think. I really don't know anything about cutoff or adjusting it these are what the output looks like Witt the headlights just out of the box and thrown on the car with 6k bulbs.

Looks great but you need to adjust the headlights...
Best thing is give it to dealer if you don't know how to adjust them...

Just picked up my gaskets for my tails. Probably will install them today.

Saw this sitting at Radley Acura on my way in. Also had a conversation with a 05 AM TL owner who worked there too; pretty cool.

This thing had like 5 of those 6" LED Strips on the front end

Saw this plastidipped thing at the mall yesterday too.

That's a legit matte black wrap, it looks like, doesn't look half bad but matte<NBP gloss.
Headlights...looks to me like the driver one needs to come down. It's a #2 phillips and VERY easy. You'll see as you bring the driver one down, how it's supposed to match the passenger side...that's the "step" people talk about, when they line up, you see how going from right to left the light steps down out of the oncoming driver's eyesight line?

Tails...let's see it! Did you cut off the bottom tabs?

It actually had a decal on the back window that said dippedwhips or something like that so I'm pretty sure it was plastidipped would have been interesting if they had gone with white instead though.

Thanks for the advice on the headlights, brother. I'll have to find a nice level surface and a white wall to do it properly sometime soon!

As for the bottom tabs, I was planning on doing it while I had the bumper off when I was installing the rear aspec a few weeks ago. I decided not to because I knew I'd have to send them back to Bruce and I'm pretty sure he wanted them completely OEM so the next guy will have his own options.

I just got them installed. Wasn't too bad and luckily didn't have to drop the whole bumper to get them out. I cut off the tabs on the tails I bought from Bruce though since they're mine! Had a couple issues about condition of them but overall I'm pleased with how they look

Tails look great, however, I would have slightly tinted the clear base section just so they don't "pop" so much against the NBP.

Thanks!

John, I feel you on that to be completely honest; I thought of doing it while Bruce was still in the process of painting everything. He probably would have been able to do it but to be honest the more I look at the more I like it

I got a couple more little things done on the car today. First I figured it was about time to vinyl over the chrome Type-S bar above the license plate. I was trying to decide between di-noc and black vinyl. CF would have nicely tied in the tails, but in the end I figured it might be too much so I went with gloss black.

I also did the RL door handle mod on the back two doors as well as new 1" "moleskin" and did a usual wash & vacuum since I had extra time today and the weather was nice!

Here's another slightly more angled pic of the rear end. Note the chrome bar above the license plate

During:

After:

Here's the RL door handle LED mod. This was the driver's side rear door. Just a quick pic of the wiring and how the 3mm pre-wired LED fits in from behind and is secured by hot glue.

I typically don't use these connectors to splice into wires and prefer a razor blade, bloody fingers, and large amounts of electrical tape. But I chose the 3m quick connects because it'll make it easier to remove the door panel in the future. They work well, for now.

Okay okay okay guys!

Since my iPhone camera sucks at night and today was an overcast rainy day I figured it would be good lighting to show the RL style door handle LEDs.

They're a bit brighter at night but the 5mm blue ones in my old car were much brighter. Maybe the fact that the red against the black interior also helps tone it down a little. The DGP was parchment inside so the blue really stuck out.

This is just about perfect IMO and I'm very happy with how they came out. I drilled the holes from behind and put a dab of hot glue, then stuck the led through. The glue acted like a sort of diffuser so I didn't get any hot round spots of light. It's more like a splash of red in the door handle; although a couple of the doors are better than others. I may revisit the front passenger door if I take the door panel off again. But for now I'm happy and hopefully I won't need to take the door panel apart again. I tried to do everything at once to avoid cracking and damaging them by removing and reinstalling them multiple times.

Front driver

Front passenger

Rear doors

Turned back as I was walking away and loved how it was sitting.

Thanks for the kind words! I love them too!

I usually don't keep a set of wheels very long. And to be honest I've been hiding a few of the flaws these wheels came with. I desperately need new rear tires too so I took them off the car for the time being and debating on putting a few bucks into them or selling them :/

Here's a peek of the 18x8.5's I put on today

I really like the teaser of the 8.5 A-specs. Did you have the 8.5's powdercoated or is that the original OEM color? Either way they look nice.

love those CV3's but everyone around here has them .

Car came out nice, too bad for the "well i don't want to mod anymore and will probably just do little things here or there", lol. The speech you gave me at my shop while I removed all of the parts off of your green machine.
