Haha thanks Steven!

Gunmetal is always a good choice and I know they'd look great, but I want to try something a little more risky!

KJ; No, My exhaust tips are just disgusting because of having PCDs. I have to clean them ASAP!

Quan has to change stuff all the time...
Broken studs and lugnuts...I'm sorry to hear that man, I've had my share of those frustrating experiences!

Hmmm...I think I'm kinda "OVER" the loud colors to be honest...I'd like to see you pick a color that's more muted and looks good and clean like John suggested.

Might be taking a look at a 6MT NBP Type-S in the next couple days.

Its a far fetched idea, but the Fiance was like "buy it, sell yours." If it happens, my buddy has been admiring my car and doesn't like his 6mt 04 SSM so it would likely go to him. If not, full part out and on CL it goes.

After all your work, you're really considering a Type S?

I know I know. But this one is priced reasonably, dealer maintained, and one owner!

I would part out all of my expensive mods before selling, namely PCDs, Jpipe, wheels, Tein SA, nav tool...damn a lot of stuff haha.

Theoretically I would take my time and swap my type a aspec and exhaust with another DGP for cash also.

If the numbers work out well enough, it wouldn't be bad.

What do you guys think my car is worth? Two accidents (albeit small) and 132k. Navi and automatic. Body is clean, no dents or damage and interior is in good shape too. I think 10.5k with some of the mods (type-s conversion) but no performance mods and without my suspension would be fair. 9k without all of the suspension and power.

I thought the same thing when they first came out. I wanted to trade my car for a TL-S. But as much work as I put into my car, plus the performance is where I want; I wouldn't go back. Plus our color is kind of unique for a TL.

DGP FTW!

Quan. You can't do this. I'm sorry.
Your car is clean as fk...you're likely paid off or close to it. You KNOW what issues your cars has. Your color is unique and doesn't SUCK to keep looking good.

I know you can justify it however you want. But whatever money you spent swapping over to another car will feel like money wasted in a few months from now when you look down and realize you're driving about the same car. (I know, Type S is better...).

keep your current ride, Q.

not everyday you see a well modded DGP...however, it is everyday you see a NBP.

put that new car itch feeling towards something else!

hell, i got so tired of NBP i decided to get a entirely different color paint job. WAY too common of a color on TL's...and SUCKS to try and keep clean.

he's in for a big surprise if he thinks that swirls will be less obvious and that color will be easier to keep clean!

Well, at least pink hides swirls. So in that regard, it'd be an improvement.

Hahaha thanks for your input guys.

The guy is asking 16.5k for that type-s, says its in immaculate condition and has 102k miles. He also said he had valentine radar and a jammer installed and without those he said he would reduce the price, which makes it more attractive to me. He also said its dealer maintained and has new tires this past October.

I mean it even has a clear bra installed!

I emailed him asking what his price would be without the radar detectors and jammers and he said 15k. I figure its at least worth seeing, if he goes down any more on the price in person with cash in my hand, I might just do it.

I don't care what you guys say! I'm buying it for anything sub-$14k

I read the 102K miles and hence mentioned the guy has the 105K around the corner....either way the 105 should cost more than 500-600 with parts in the NJ neighborhood and you can do spark plugs/filters on your own

if the OP is getting 10-12K for his car and wants some serious bump in power (from 205-210whp base 5at to 245-250whp 6mt type S) I think its a great deal....

That's the only thing, I'm not sure how much I can get for my car.
These days I see a lot in my area for $6000-7500 and its a little disappointing lol.

My car has been really well maintained although modded. Parted out I think $9k is reasonable with my type-s conversion. Without that I would sell it for less but finding a base DGP in the area willing to swap+ cash is going to be difficult.

I emailed the guy asking to see it. We'll see.

well if you get something decent for your TL (something around the lines of your expectation) I would say pull the trigger and transfer the mods....you are certain to miss the DGP color but you def wont be missing the power

thats exactly what I have been saying....get the 6MT type S and transfer your mods....you will be making a lot more powahhh !!!

the only reason I wont do it, is if you are only getting 6-7K for your car....in that case you will have to invest around 9-10K on a used car and a major service is around the corner....i hope you get offered more for your DGP

I saw the car.

It was very nice. Well maintained, the seller apologized for how dirty it was and had it washed on the exterior before showing it to me.

It was very nice. A little less "clean" than I was expecting but not too terrible. There were a couple scuffs and scratches that I didn't know about but the seller was really cool otherwise. He genuinely hadn't noticed them either.

I made an offer and he accepted, but it's pending his wife's decision. Honestly, it was at the top end of the range I told myself I absolutely would not exceed, so I'm hoping all goes well. He seemed enthusiastic enough to sell it to me though and promised it was mine a along as the wife agreed.

It drove well and he conceded to the fact that it did need a little more work, mainly the tb/wp which we both agreed Hamilton Honda would likely be the best option.

Hopefully, if all goes well I will be picking it up this weekend. If I get word back tonight, then the DGP part out thread will be posted tomorrow.

Fingers crossed guys.
