Thanks for the suggestions guys!

J, I don't think I'm gonna be doing anything with these headlights (for now at least); I've always wanted Type-S headlights and now that I have them I'm in love! I may do just the main engine cover though; after I did the engine covers on the old TL, I kind of regretted it because its kind of hard taking care of them and making sure they don't get scratched.

Today I was off and free so I removed my vent visors from my old TL. I think I may get them color matched!

I never liked the color matched look of visors on WDP; there are several examples here on the forum. Sadly I can't find any examples of them in NBP, but being that my tint is so dark and the car is black, color matched visors I think would be very subtle.

Mainly I want to do it so they'll be easier to take care of; the plastic gets damaged from just about anything and is so easy to scratch

I pulled the DGP in and parked the NBP in front of it; went to get some tools and when I came out, this just looked cool to me. Getting in the DGP today was so weird; hadn't driven it in about a week and didn't realize how damn low it is until I got in it today after driving the Type-S all week.

Makes me sad thinking the DGP will be gone soon...Something about the all red tails makes me love it.

Looking good, man...
Anil has his visors color matched. Honestly, I don't think you can tell that much from NBP but since you're paint all the other stuff anyway, why not!?

Car is done! Picking it up tonight. Sucks though cause the weather is really bad today so no pics

Yup! I got the visors painted since my buddy had some paint left over and didn't charge me any extra. Gonna clean them up and see how I like them. Worst cause I can sell them in the BM and order new ones cheap.

I had them made by a custom vinyl guy I did a lot of work with. I tried to contact him several times in the last month but haven't been able to reach him sucks cause his prices were really good

FASTSIGNS can make you pretty much any custom vinyl sign you want for cheap...go ask them.

Anil, but of course, had to give you a shout out since you did it!

Well, I picked up the car this weekend and have been loving it

Had the front bumper repainted and some rock chips repaired on the hood and whatnot. Also had the front fenders and doors buffed to help match everything well. It's amazing how the blue pops on fresh NBP paint!

The car looks beautiful. We threw on the front A-Spec lip also because of course the bumper was already off. In the end I had the window visors paint matched (but not installed) as well as the front grill. I'll be adding the rear lip in the very near future, and the sides of course as soon as I order the puddle lights and am able to do the work; no sense in doing it twice of course.

Only thing is I picked it up the day after it was painted and it's been raining ever since. Hope the paint will be alright!

Sucks I can't wash or wax it for a while. Anybody have any recommendations on taking care of fresh paint? I also have to re-aim my foglights cause they're ridiculously mis-aimed currently.

Nice to see the progress on your newly aquired 6spd Type-S. I would add atleast the rear A-spec asap to complete the look and add the side pieces later when you are ready. It just looks incomplete with just the front Type-S Aspec too me. I know that I'm beating a dead horse, but your cars deserve better pics than these grainy cell phone shots.

Part out is disappointing since he replaced it with almost the same car so so many parts transfer over!

Going to do performance mods on this badboy?

Thanks everyone!

I'm so glad I went with blacking out the front grill! I love how much more aggressive it looks! It's still taking me a while to get used to the car though since the clutch is unlike anything I'm used to; really finicky and difficult to get just right everytime. It's a learnin process though. I've been getting a power steering whine in the cold mornings though which is annoying since I'm fairly sure the recall on the feeder hose has already been done. Also haven't had a chance to clean it up inside

The part out is going reasonably well. I actually am headed up to Nj this weekend with the DGP to Bruce's place to swap bumpers and headlights with a fellow DGP owner. . I also may get my Teins removed (depensing on price) and get my navtool removed also.

Haven't fully decided what mods I will transfer over. After scraping and dealing with being so low for so long I'm not sure I want to out the Type-S through that kind of abuse lol. Take the word abuse lightly!

The Type-S is my baby officially and while I had a lot of fun with the DGP, I want to do it right this time as avoid stupid/costly mistakes. I will definitely be transferring my Jpipe over but probably not the PCDs (stay tuned for another small part out thread) and I'm undecided on the suspension. I may sell the Teins and go with A-spec suspension or springs for a very slight drop

The car is filthy and I haven't gotten around to installing anything else. Probably will get a good day in tomorrow though and swap over my spacers and a few other small things before going to NJ. Still on the hunt for a nice set of oem 5 spoke stockies for the DGP though. Phew.

I'm new and happen to come across your post. If you haven't got that tint you were looking for because of the police alarm to dark tint and you don't particularly like the darkside.
How about what is known as "Business tint"? Its somewhat like factory glaze that sometimes comes in the window glass itself, but its still slightly darker obviously because your using a tint film. You can see in the car at all times and yet gives you some sun protection, while adding a nice look to the car.

I had on a Volvo S-80 a couple years ago because I was worried about cops. I now have a TL with black tint but I haven't gotten pulled over for it. Here its secondary to whatever they are getting you for in the first place. Call it an "Add on" if they really want to get you. LOL!

Had a pretty productive weekend!

Was finally able to head up to NJ on Saturday to meet with some cool members at Bruce's (ACKTL05) place and do a full bumper and exhaust swap.

Traded my JNC modded headlights for base stock ones with member bluetl04, awesome guy to do business with!

Also traded my front and rear Type-S bumpers with A-Spec kit along with my Type-S suspension for stock bumpers with A-Spec and stock exhaust to another member with a DGP.

Last week I also took out my PS2 and navtool, all the spacers, my volks, and a few other small things.

All that is left to remove is the PCDs, suspension, and my A-Specs. Then she will be ready for sale

Wasn't able to take a whole lot of pics, but here's what I have!

Blue, those brake covers? Or she drives a 6MT? If so, she's a keeper.

Quan...kick azz...and I agree with Tyler. That 04 front looks awesome. I'm still torn on my rear...my aspec lip is damaged mildly (not bad enough to catch your attention) and if I replace it, I'd likely go with type S to do different exhaust tips...hmmm...decisions decisions.

I know! I'm really satisfied with the whole swap transaction. Im glad that whoever gets my car in the end will still be getting a nice looking car; I really like how the base aspec kit looks when the car is lowered!

Type-S rear all the way dude. You're one of the lucky base owners with an NBP/WDP who can swap Type-S parts over all day without worrying about paint and all that kind of stuff. You can probably sell your rear Aspec for at least half of the cost of a new one!

Figured I would add this here too. Originally posted in the Power Steering O-Ring thread.

I mentioned the whining issue and asked if it was possible that they hadnt replaced the o-ring at the time. Politely declined and left. I went to the parts counter and bought the o-ring.

Came home, found this. Needless to say ill be leaving appropriate reviews on yelp and may even call Acura client care. Pretty uncool of them to be honest.

Small update.

Decided to spend Christmas in Toronto so my fiancé and I are on our way right now in the Type-S. I got a CEL on my way and checked it out; stopped at an Advance Auto and checked it out; ended up being some sort of evap code (P0404). Checked azine and a few members have had it clear up by taking the evap off and cleaning it so we just stopped for breakfast and I did that in the parking lot

Cleared the code. Right now we're in upstate NY, approaching buffalo and have about 150 miles to go.

I taped her up last night at around 2am and we got on our way at 3:30. Total it will be a 585 mile trip and the Type-S will be immediately getting all maintenance done when I get back to VA. Timing belt, water pump, plugs, blah blah.

Here's a quick pic. Tape has held up well so far!

Made it!

Sooo glad I taped it up. Came up behind a salt spreading truck and the sound of the salt hitting my car made me want to cry.
