Finally finished my little project today.

Cleaner up the barrels from plastidip overspray I wanted them to be pure black inside which they were when I got them; the over spray made it look like crap. You can't easily peel Plastidup overspray (unless its a thick coating) so a bit of Goof-off and a rag did the job; piece of cake.

Also lowered the car about a 1/2" in the front and 1/4" in the rear (Tein SA FTW!). They hadn't been adjusted since they were installed back in August.

Re-inserted the center caps; surprisingly easy since they were such a bitch to pound out. Then I mounted the rims with my black plastidip'd Muteki lugs. The car was too low so I couldn't get the jack out. I guess I'm officially low enough to require wooden ramps.

I think I'm finally satisfied...for now

Sorry about the cell phone pics.

Those look great! And the orange Azine sticker matches too.

Have you thought about doing your mirrors orange like bforbrian did when he had his orange setup?

Now that is a good look "Q"... The color choice makes your car stand out like no other 3G TL. Nice... Now buy yourself a digital camera. Lol...

I was a little skeptical about the orange/DGP combo, but it looks really good. Well done man.

I guess I'll be the first to say I'm not a fan

I applaud the amount of work you put into achieving the look but I think the A-Specs looked best on your car

X4.. The green clashes with the orange imo. But if you like it that's all that matters!

I like it way more than I thought I would Q! While not something I would be able to rock, I think you've pulled it off well. I like it much better than those initial shots I saw of them in black. Your car definitely looks better with brighter rims rather than darker.

Thanks everyone for the positive and negative comments; all feedback is appreciated!

This is just going to last through halloween; I'm already anxious to pick a new color

I'm thinking maybe lime green/Takata green or gold/bronze next

I'm still getting used to how much attention I get with this new setup & color...Its crazy lol, thumbs up, double takes, etc.

As for the decals, I really wanted to get some but the only place I can find TE decals is on eBay and they're like 45$...Not worth it for just a couple weeks until I change the color again. My usual vinyl guy could make anything for cheap but hes MIA for some reason.

I think I actually like the no lip TE's very much...those, but concave with barely a lip...in a dark silver like the 04 aspecs...yeah...that'll work!

Now other than Brian's NBP, the orange is also successful on DGP

Thanks guys for the kind words and huge compliment! bforbrian's car is beautiful, no matter how many wheel set ups its been through. I just wish my TE's were as agressive as his but I suppose I'll never be completely "Satisfied"

Quan, doing the mirrors in orange is too much. Just the wheels alone are fine-you're good, as is!

I look forward to your next setup already. Honestly, in that wheel, the more concave, the less concave it looks. yours look great.

Not much to add in the way of updates. I've been real busy with school and what not and haven't had a chance to do much.

Did an oil change the other day and somehow broke off one of my Ichiba spacer studs on the front right wheel, which of course got stuck in the stupid new lugnuts I bought recently. Sigh.

Luckily I have a spare set of 15mm spacers and I picked up a cheap set of lug nuts in the BM for now.

Since Halloween has come and gone, I figure its time for a new color. Tomorrow I will likely be swapping the busted spacer for a good one (riding around on 4 lugnuts for the last week has been...less than ideal) and throwing on the A-specs. I've been scraping my front end like a MOFO lately which has been pissing me off; also have some serious rock chipping on the lip so I'm debating on a getting the lip and maybe the bumper repainted in the near future too.

Ideas for new colors? I also picked up a set of Volk and Rays decals for the wheels as I was finally able to find someone on eBay charging a reasonable price! Got them in Black.

I'm thinking gold/bronze or lime green

Here's a pic I took the other day; thought the foliage looked cool against the wheels..don't mind the mud...Damn construction.

lol someone skeeted on your fender. Hard choice on your wheels...it's hard to find matching colors against DGP. I say go a traditional glossy gunmetal.

Quan, I'd suggest leaving the orange wheels for a while. Not only is orange a Halloween color, it's a fall color. You're good, as is!
